PierView Unit 306 Private Oceanfront Balcony! Summary: Welcome to PierView, Unit 306! A Direct Oceanfront condo in the beautiful town of Nags Head, North Carolina! Enjoy direct ocean views from this well-appointed two bedroom, two bath condo. Fall asleep each night to the sounds of crashing waves and wake up to beautiful sunrises from your porch with unobstructed views of the ocean. The unit also features a well-equipped kitchen, flat-screen TVs (2), cable, WiFi, and an in-suite washer and dryer. Sleeping arrangements include a king-size bed in the master bedroom and a queen-size and twin-size bed in the second bedroom. Linens (bed linens, bath towels, washcloths, and sheets) are provided by an independent vendor and the beds will be made when you arrive! The property offers direct beach access, two outdoor pools (closed in off-season), outdoor grills in the common area, and a children’s play space - all available for your enjoyment. The elevator in our building is currently out of service. Our HOA is actively pursuing a full modernization of the elevator system; however, due to the scope of the project and the specialized parts required, we do not anticipate the elevator will be available for guest use until Spring 2026\. We understand this may cause inconvenience and truly appreciate your understanding as we work toward long-term improvements to the property. To help ease the impact, a luggage lift is available to assist with transporting your bags. All guests must be able to navigate multiple flights of stairs. If you choose to proceed with the booking, please understand that no refunds will be given based on the availability of the elevator, it is an amenity of the HOA and is completely out of the owner's personal control. If you have any questions or need assistance during your stay, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re here to help make your visit as comfortable as possible. This unit is located on a fourth-floor level (the first level is pull-under parking). Our awesome caretakers, Mike and Lisa, live onsite and are as committed to your experience as we are. The unit is conveniently located within an easy drive of many great local attractions including the beautifully renovated Jennette's Pier (a half mile away), the NC Aquarium in Manteo, Jockey's Ridge, Tanger Outlet Shopping, Bodie Island Lighthouse, Coquina Beach, and off-roading and fishing at Oregon Inlet. It was very quiet, close to the pier and very clean. We enjoyed the balcony views - especially to watch the sunrise. The actual facility is older, but the elevator did work and we didn't mind the building being a bit older since it's so well maintained. The kitchen was stocked nicely, the beds were comfy and all of our basic necessities were met. The TV's were Roku TV's which we loved so we had access to all of our streaming services. The ONLY suggestion I would make is to replace the current rods and curtains - they were a bit outdated and thin, but still were fine. My only complaints would be that the cleaner doesn’t really deep clean the condo. It looks clean but if you look around, you can tell they just do the bare minimum. And the sliding doors don’t lock, they did provide wooden rods to secure them but as a parent of a wild 3 year old I would have felt much better with actual locking doors. Can’t beat the view once you’re out on the balcony. The sliding doors need a good cleaning. They were covered with smashed bugs. There’s no screen in the master and the blanket is pretty but much too heavy for July. It was good that there was a lighter blanket in the closet. The best part is that where the condo is located, there are no high dunes obstructing your view. Kitchen was nicely equipped. Mattress was comfortable. Master bath needs updating. Pools are nice. Sep 19, 2024 Liked: Check-in, communication, location Disliked: Listing accuracy #### Mixed feelings - elevator does not work!!! The owners of the property are very sweet and accommodating. They were able to provide us with an early check in and had lots of recommendations for our stay. As far as the property itself - the cleanliness was fair. It’s not horrible but the baseboards were left dirty and don’t look under the bed or any of the furniture…it hasn’t been touched in a long time. The BIGGEST complaint is that THE ELEVATOR DOES NOT WORK. I brought my 80 year old grandmother on her first vacation she had been on in years and we stayed on the top floor. She was really only capable of making that climb once a day and we’re lucky she’s healthy enough to even do that! When we arrived, we were informed the elevator was out of order but lifts had been installed to help move your luggage and other items to your floor. I felt so bad as I saw multiple elderly people throughout the week struggling to climb those stairs - one woman with a walker, one woman with a broken leg and crutches. I understand things break down but a heads up before arrival would have been courteous for one and for two - how long have these elevators been down for them to have installed luggage lifts? ##### Carly P. It is not large and perfect for 2 to 4 people. The living spaces are comfortable and nicely decorated but the bathrooms and kitchen are dated. So, if you are persnickety, this is not the place for you. We loved the porch (although it would have been nice to have 2 bar chairs for the table - there was only one) so we could eat together out there. Having the elevator was a factor in our opting for a condo on the 3rd floor so we could see over the dunes. The complex also had carts available to bring groceries and bags up. We did notice that the railing just off of the elevator was very loose. This was quite concerning since it is 3 floors up and should be tended to. Although linens were provided they were well worn and there was no mattress pad cover on the queen bed. The master bath jacuzzi jets didn't look very clean so we did not use it. And the corners of the bathroom floor and molding could have been better scrubbed. Theses points contributed to the okay rating for cleanliness. There were no dish rags or dish towels so bring your own. I purchased some at a local discount store. The pools were wonderful to come in off the beach and be able to swim/float and chat with other renters. It was not crowded either at the beach or the pool. We would stay here again. The location, beach access and condo itself were overall very suitable for our needs and provided us an affordable and delightful stay to celebrate our anniversary. Thanks! ##### Pat H.
