We absolutely loved the house and thoroughly enjoyed our vacation trip and rental. I wish that I could have stayed there longer. Would definitely recommend the house called "The Byrd's Nest". We had quiet, friendly neighbors, so it was not a problem. Short walk to the beach, but the boardwalk to the beach appears to have been partly covered by sand dunes. Defective Keurig is still there, but there is also a Mr. Coffee. Cleanliness was okay, but shower curtain liners need replaced due to mildew and floors under beds and furniture had obviously not been cleaned (hair, dust, food and a large dog bone found underneath). Just a note for the property manager to update the info package for the property - 1\. the WiFi password provided to us was incorrect. We found the the correct one posted on a wall at the house. 2\. We were instructed to leave the house key in the Drop Box upon departure, while in reality there was no key as the house has cyberlock and accessed using a passcode. ##### Tee G. Since the manager or owner felt the need to omit that from the property description, I will do it here. Duplexes in and of themselves are not a problem. But when you spend several thousands of dollars in hopes of a nice peaceful vacation, then the reality of a duplex becomes painfully clear. The attached property - also managed by Carolina Shores - was under some sort of construction with a never ending parade of construction and maintenance vehicles in and out of a shared driveway. Five days in was the absolute worst. Carpet installation began at 930 am and continued right though until 630-700 pm. Repeated calls to the property manager resulted in some peace and quiet. The parade of random vehicles continued, however. And faced with 10 days remaining on our trip, the experience was ruined. We will never rent through VRBO or Carolina Shores again. On a positive note, we can honestly say that the house was great. It seems that every possible need or want was thought of by the owner. Like I said - great house, but an overall negative experience. ##### Jonathan M.
