The condo is (practically) on the beach... It is close to restaurants and just a short driving distance to the sand dunes in Jockey's Ridge State Park, Bodie Island Lighthouse and the Wright Brothers National park. The condo itself is very clean, has all the amenities you may need and is quiet (off season). The host was outstanding... very welcoming, quick to respond and very kind. ##### VALERIE C. And if you prefer to stay put, the beach is right there. This is an older unit, but the kitchen is well equipped and there is plenty of comfortable furniture for relaxing. Well furnished and well equipped with anything you need. Good location too! Only complaint was the coffee pot…we were not used to this model and could not find any instructions. You still get the sounds of the ocean. Owners stated they do not provide beach chairs or umbrellas. Thankfully some kind soul had left a beach chair and umbrella. If owners are unwilling to provide chairs maybe provide a list of recommended rental sources. The unit was nicely furnished and clean. Although I was taken aback by an envelope left by the cleaners for a tip. As large cleaning fees are included; I've never experienced this before in an of my VRBO stays. We went with another couple and loved our stay. The beach and weather were amazing. The condo couldn't have been in a better location. Because it is on the first floor of the building you can't see the beach due to the dune, but it is still relaxing to sit on the patio in the morning with your coffee and listen to the ocean. Beach access is right next to the condo building and the building offers an outdoor shower to rinse the sand off on your way back. Was perfect! The unit was plenty big for the four of us and had what we needed in the kitchen to cook a couple nights. The owners and property managers were very nice and responsive. One thing to note, however, we needed to supply our own paper goods (i.e. toilet paper, paper towels, facial tissue), hand soap, laundry soap, etc. I'd also bring extra towels next time as only one set per person was provided and because it's the beach... things don't hang dry that quickly!
