Amazing location, just a stone's throw from Nagoya station, which houses Takashimaya, Bic Camera, supermarkets and tonnes of food options, not forgetting the connectivity! Hotel is pretty standard offering all the amenities/services expected from a 4 star establishment. Only thing to note, gym is pay per use and has very short opening hours on weekends.

Great room, excellent locatin
This was an excellent hotel. The staff were professional and helpful. the hotel itself id in great shape and my room was large and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and well worth the price. The hotel is less than 5 minutes on foot from Nagoya Station so the location is great.

Hagada is highly commended for her hospitality and communication skills. It was also kind of the staff to allow us to deposit our luggage before and after stay as we toured around Nagoya.

Hotel is not what it appears to be
The property is located close to the train station, which is helpful. The reception staff were friendly and efficient. I booked through a travel service that I regularly use. I would not stay at this hotel again because the services were not as advertised. The hotel lists a gym, but fails to note that it does not open until 11:00am. That opening time renders it useless for my purposes. In addition, the hotel's pictures reveal there is a spa pool within the gym. I concluded this was an onsen, but it is not. The lack of an onsen added to the hotel's deficits, for my purposes. Finally, there is some sort of fee to use the gym facility. I don't know what the fee is. I often pay such fees and would have paid the fee if the gym had been opened during hours that I find useful. To my mind, the failure to note on their online listing that they charge a fee for the use of the on-site gym represented yet another black mark on this property. In future visits to Nagoya, I will choose a hotel that more accurately represents their services.

Hotel photos and description made the hotel sound luxurious and look spacious, BUT, was anything but! Beds were hard as rock, fridge was more of a cooler with no way to really cool, bathroom was tiny, not even an ice machine- had to get ice by the cup from front lobby. When we tried to get a short extension on our checkout, they wanted to charge us extra. I would never go back or recommend to anyone. Vastly disappointed.

Lovely hotel, very close to Nagoya station. Standard twin room on the small side but I had been warned about that. Room facilities very good, staff have English and very polite and helpful. Subway right outside the hotel. Food a little on th expensive side but beautifully prepared. Would definitely stay here again

Room did not have smell of cigarettes per the previous reviews, and was surprisingly larger than expected. Toilet was a tad small, but has the amenities as expected from a hotel room

Great hotel near train station!
The hotel is located directly next to an underground access tunnel that leads to Nagoya station, has a bar on site, and offers in-room massage. The rooms were clean and fresh, and made for a great nights stay!

Excellent stay close to the heart of Nagoya
The hotel is in a short walk from Nagoya Station. The staffs are courteous and efficient. I had a twin room with boule beds. The room was very clean and spacey. It had a bathroom with a full size bath tub and a separate shower. It's toilet is also separate and equipped with a high-tech toilet (standard anywhere in Japan but nowhere else in the world). The air conditioning system is very quiet and efficient. My stay was short but I had a very comfortable and restful time. I am happy to recommend Castle Plaza.
