It was a welcome break away from the busy cities during the Rugby World Cup. Stephen and Ted are great hosts who will go the extra mile for their guests, like driving us to a nearby restaurant and offering suggestions for places to see. My room was comfortable and spacious with great views across the lake. Wonderful stay! Unfortunate for us, we only had one night to spend in Shinano-machi, fortunately however, we found us a great place to stay for that one night! Nojiri Lake Resort is really a gem. Great location as it is right beside the lake. Waking up in the morning with a beautiful view of Nojiri-ko and the surrounding mountains is a dream, especially in winter! More importantly, the hospitality of Ted and Steve are unmatched. They assisted us with everything we needed, right from the moment we arrived by train until we left the next day. We felt very much at home during our stay. WiFi worked well. Their breakfast was filling.
