Lovely hotel
A nice clean hotel with an amazing breakfast. They have a good system for breakfast now where they stagger customers. Very friendly service. We will definitely be back.

Good location, popular with tour groups
This is an average hotel in the NH chain. The room is comfortable but the bathroom is tiny and the shower grout lines were moldy. We've stayed here several times and the staff is usually super friendly and accomodating but this time the woman at check in was frazzled and unfriendly, I presume from the two busloads of tourists that had just checked in to the hotel and therefore the restaurant was at capacity. As a previous reviewer mentioned there is a nice casual restaurant, Porterhouse, across the street that is a good option.

Nice Hotel not far from Amsterdam
Was not very far from Amsterdam and nice place to stay if one want peace and sort of little village feeling. Hotel had a large parking which was chargeable, it seems hotel is booked by tour people who come in bulk due to hotels proximity to city. Hotel is 3 star and not 4, toiletry was good but noticed that complimentary water bottle was not provided to everyone. Overall could be booked for couple of days.

A break from the madness of Amsterdam 11 miles.
Nice hotel across from the Naarden Marina. It's a 25 minute walk to the star-shaped medieval Vesting or fort that had several nice restaurants. Service at NH Naarden is always friendly and helpful. Good food.

Food is over-priced, which was a shame because the surrounding area only has one restaurant within walking distance. Breakfast also costs extra and is not included in the price of the room. Rooms are good for the price, however, our booking confirmation said that we would have a smoking room, but our room was non-smoking. When we had a cigarette outside in the smoking area, twice we were shouted at by the restaurant manager, who told us that we had to leave the hotel premises entirely if we wanted to smoke (we weren't even allowed to smoke in the car park). I would recommend avoiding the restaurant and order room service instead since the restaurant manager had a running theme of getting irrationally angry at customers. The location wasn't great either - to get to Amsterdam you have to get a bus and then a train. Overall 'okay', due to the food being overpriced. Staff were lovely and very helpful (apart from the restaurant manager). The location is pretty poor if you want to spend time in Amsterdam. Would not stay in this hotel again.

Nice, basic no frills
Hotel is fairly noisy with people going to bed late and very late as the sound easily carries through the door into the room and can wake up the non deep sleepers. Disappointing food, steak tasted from frozen (liver texture), cant seem to do soft boiled eggs at breakfast.

Relaxing stay with excellent breakfast
The breakfast is perfect, everything is tasty and fresh. Only the free WiFi is rather slow (you have to pay almost 10€ for one day higher bitrate, which at that price I did not even test.

Basic Hotel Should Not Be 4*
The hotel was very basic and not up to the standard I would expect of a 4* hotel. The staff were helpful at points. However, a few of them were quite rude and abrupt. I asked for a drink at the bar to be put on my room tab and the member of staff behind the bar very abruptly said no we do not put drinks on rooms!! Even though I had previously put a drink on my room number and was asked the following day if I would like to. The transport into Amsterdam is not great and the hotel staff are rather useless at helping you with this. Knowing full well I was going into Amsterdam, none of them told me that the bridge would be closing later on in the evening. This therefore ended up costing me a 185 Euro taxi journey that took an hour and a half. The room was very basic, the sheets and towels were very uncomfortable and my tiny window view was simply a car park!! Overall I was very unimpressed and will never stay in an NH Hotel again.

The hotel offers one double bed for two guests, but the bed is too soft that one person's move will affect the other. I would recommend more solid mattress. Other than that, the hotel is pretty good overall. It provides very good breakfast with lots of choices. The hotel restaurant also has beautiful view.

Disappointing!
We stayed here for the weekend when visiting family. We booked here by accident - usually we stayed in the sister location Jan Tabak. This is very typical NH property, but rooms definitely need upgrade. Even having the window open on arrival didn't erase the stuffy smell. One bedside lamp was broken. Our courtyard view was a big asphalt car park. We were unlucky to have very noisy tourists on the same floor and had to call to reception to have them calm down a bit. Breakfast was good, and the location is good also for those who visit Amsterdam. There was a decent gym in the property as well.

Great hotel and close to Amsterdam
The service was absolutely fantastic. The staff went out of their way to help and were very friendly at all times. We choose a hotel within commutable distance to Amsterdam and it certainly was: 20 min train journey and you are in the heart of Amsterdam. Parking next to train station Weesp was free. It ticked all the boxes for our stay as a family and a city trip, so would defiantly recommend again.

Luckily we only stayed one night in the hotel. The decor is very shabby. The heater in our room did not work properly and the room was cold and uncomfortable. We booked a room for two people and were given only one towel to use. The breakfast was poor and we had to pay for parking despite being paying guests.

Cycling Paradise
This hotel is perfectly located for cycling. The staff were very helpful and always friendlyand they have plenty of cycles you can rent (cheaply) during your stay. Maps and recommendations were given for days out and Amsterdam is only a 15 minute taxi drive (pre booked taxis to Airport costs €55). Bus stop is within walking distance. Train station is a bit further away but much cheaper to travel by.

A reasonable alternative
Hotels in central Amsterdam are ridiculously expensive, making the NH Naarden a reasonable alternative. It is modern, clean and offers excellent facilities. The downside is its location, requiring a $20 taxi bill each way to get to and from a short railway connection to the city.

Hotel for the business man hmmmmm maybe
Pleasant location with some nice walks, the charge for car parking @ 6 euros per day is a bit hard to swallow given the location. the bar staff were very polite and attentive, the hotel could improve by adding a few creature comforts like a bottle of water in the room and even a small fridge would be good. the breakfast was limited compared to other dutch hotels and having arrived at breakfast for 8 oclock to find that a coach party of locusts had taken most of the offerings i found it be a dissapointing start to my day. there is free wifi but for the business traveller there is a 9.50 euro charge for the "premium connection" to allow you to use VPN's my overall view is a small hotel trying to be a big hotel and just falling short.

Free wifi password changed every few hours ( on 19/5 it was changed FIVE times in12 hours), every time you leave the car park you need to validate ticket at reception (pay 6.60 Euro/day.

Take this hotel off your list
Arrogant staff, breakfast "special" AUD20/pp, "free wifi" cuts out every 3 hours because staff changes password (on 19/5password was changed FIVE times in 5hrs), don't EVER arrive bfore 3pm to check in, very small room, bathroom does not have space to hang towels (we looked for the 2nd towel and it was on top of a high cupboard. NOTHING WAS PLEASANT. parking 6.60 euro/day and you have to go to reception every time you want to leave the car park to validate your parking ticket. This is a 2 star hotel which is overpriced and not worth staying at.
