When we arrived at 1130pm, I walked in and one person was waiting in front of me. There was no worker visible at the desk. When she finally walked out of the backroom, she looked up at me and said "you've got to be f***** kidding me". That is how I was greeted. She didn't say anything else until she mumbled under her breath, "I would love to check you in, but I dont have any keys". I had to ask her what was going on and that's when she finally told me that she didn't have the actual keys to give us to get in the room. We left and got something to eat, came back and she was extremely pleasant and apologetic. It just wasn't a great way to be greeted. Other than that, the room looked new with the exception of the bathtub. Was going to take a shower until I looked in the tub which was old and dirty. Tried to wash up in the sink, no hot water. The pillows were very flat and smelled like plastic. They only give 3 pillows for a king size bed, should be 2 per person and there was no extra pillow or linen in the room. Overall, for what I paid, it was ok. It was just the little things, which add up.

The desk clerk working around 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 5th, was extremely rude. I had never stayed there before and was assigned a room on the second floor. All the doors to the rooms are on the exterior, but there are no visible stairs to get to the second floor. I had to go back to the desk to ask where the stairs were and the clerk was very irritated by my question. Turns out the stairwell is on the inside of the building for the rooms that are on the exterior. Does not make sense and something that you would never figure out unless you've stayed there before. I also told her that I had my dog with me, so you would think that she would put me on the first floor so I could easily take my dog out. Instead she gives me a second floor room and the motel was by no means full. All that aside, except for a very strong smell of bleach in the room that I tried to lessen with air freshener spray, my room was fairly clean. It seem to take forever to get any hot water, and then it was only warm. The motel is in an area that is quiet and not by the highway and the rates are reasonable especially if you are trying to attend a concert at the casino and need sleep before facing an out-of-state drive home. All in all not a bad stay for a budget motel. You really have to lower your expectations, and consider the price and you won't be so disappointed.

Something (maybe a water heater?) was banging the whole time, but I’m guessing that’s not a problem for every room. Tile floors like this room had are better for cleanliness than carpet at cheap hotels. Overall, decent value

The receptionists were very nice and accommodating. The rooms were clean. However, the place needs major updating. We booked in total 5 rooms and in each room the heating/air-conditioning units were very noisy. The bed frames were squeaky. The towels were worn and almost torn. In one of the rooms there was a huge bubble on the ceiling due to some water damage.

I loved the staff and our room was great. Only problem is that the people on each side of our room were extremely loud and it constantly smelled of weed and cigarettes

This hotel location is perfect if you have a reservation on the Cross Island Ferry. Short drive from the hotel to the ferry terminal and both are easy to find. Still waiting for my room receipts. The staff at check-in assured me the receipts would be emailed and verified my email address. Need the receipts to submit my travel voucher.

Hotel from HELL
The room was disgusting. The bedding was dirty, the floor was greasy and slippery. There was a strong odor and even though it was supposedly a non-smoking room there was a strong cigarette smell in the bathroom. The towels were thin and were not soft at all. There were people on the balcony near our room smoking pot and looking like criminals. This place was horrible, we were not able to stay and they were not cooperative at all and refused to give even a partial refund. Our dog sniffed the bed and the loveseat and turned her head away and refused to go near them, if you’re dog won’t get on the bed, you can’t expect people to do it.

Hadn't stayed at a Motel 6 in a while and was forced into staying at this one due to lack of other options. This is a very basic facility with no frills to say the least. Room floors not carpeted. No food other than coffee in the AM. No hairdryer. Significant number of units occupied by longer term residents. Door stuck but learned to kick it open. But everything basically worked and was clean. AC and refrigerator worked fine. The desk staff was helpful. Would not have picked this place but it was ok under the circumstances.

Motel 6 Groton was spartan. No tissues. No microwave. No breakfast ( none was advertised.) The desk clerk was not friendly or welcoming. The bed sounded like a metal drum when you moved. No art or even posters. The room was barely furnished with the minimum. The motel was overpriced for the level of service and comfort.

Under impressed.
Our first room reeked of cigarettes and we had to change rooms. The next room was much better but it was not too clean. (Hair on toilet seat). Additionally, the bed was likely old(?). Every time I moved in the bed, it made a popping noise from the springs I am guessing. For the price, I expected more.

I stay here about once every 2 wks. It's no frills but it is very clean with no carpet (I have allergies, pet friendly (but I don't bring my dog), and with a little fridge which is all I need. Staff is great!
