Live large in a small space! This lovely little ground floor one bedroom apartment in downtown Mystic packs a surprisingly big punch for its size and is walkable to almost everywhere! The Seaport, the drawbridge, the Amtrak Station are all less than a ten minute walk away. Well-behaved pets are welcome for a $60 fee The apartment is thoughtfully designed to maximize comfort and practicality in a small space and seems to work well for couples, small families, and close friends. The main living area features a two to three person sofa that coverts into a double bed, a small armchair, 50 ROKU Smart TV and a decent sized coat closet. The kitchen comes with everything needed to cook a full meal, including a four burner induction cooktop and a combination microwave / convection oven, Nutri Bullet blender, and Delonghi espresso maker, conventional coffee maker, and French press. The bedroom which is tucked away from the main living space and separated by a door, just fits a comfy queen bed, but features another decent-sized closet. To access the nicely appointed bathroom, you must pass through the bedroom. The bathroom is stocked with a range of Aveeno products. Onsite laundry for guests staying 5 days or more is available in the garage beside the apartment. There is a small outdoor area with a two person cafe table and chair set where you can enjoy a cup of coffee or glass of wine. Please note that this is a ground floor apartment and that there is a two bedroom apartment directly above which is also an short term rental. There are strict quiet times in place and being respectful of those staying in the ground floor unit is a condition of booking but some noise from the upstairs unit is inevitable. While this apartment is pet fiendly, because of the upstairs apartment, dogs who bark excessively cannot be left unattended. All dogs must be leashed while in the yard and when going from the apartment to your vehicle. I took a couple of days' R&R in Mystic and my stay at Shaun's apartment was great! It's cozy but makes the most of the space: there's a wall desk that pulls down, a small outside sitting area, and lots of closet space. Shaun also provided a bowl of snacks and even milk in the fridge for my tea! The location is also great, close to lots of attractions but with a nice quiet neighborhood for morning walks. Everything in downtown Mystic is easily walkable. We enjoyed ourselves so much we are definitely going to try to rent it next year. ##### Abby K. Quick friends weekend away. It was in the perfect location for walking to most things downtown, etc. The place is small, just so you're aware, but it is cute and clean and in the perfect location for walking to most things. It has one bedroom with a queen-size bed and then the sofa pulls out into a bed. The kitchen was cute and well stocked. They provide coffee and snacks which was a very nice touch. It's always nice to be able to wake up in the morning and have a cup of coffee before setting off for your day. It has a nice big smart tv, which was also a very nice touch. We're not "partiers", so when we're done with whatever we were doing during the day and having dinner somewhere (lots of choices), you're able to come back, relax and find something to watch on tv. I would recommend this place to anyone. One thing of note, while you could squeeze 4 people into this place it would be tight. Upon arrival, the apartment was sparkling clean. A bonus, it was stocked with snacks such as granola bars, oatmeal, chips, and chocolate, some sparkling water, yogurt, and coffee creamer from the host. Can’t forget the treat for the pup too. Thank you for that! Bathroom was provided with all the amenities including soap, shampoo, conditioner, and moisturizer. Chairs were available for use in the yard in addition to a small table. This is the lower apartment and there was some turnover with the upstairs apartment. No problems or excessive noise. The housekeeper was a friendly, lovely women, very respectful, checking in with us when she would see us to ensure we didn’t need anything. A short walk to the downtown to enjoy the shops and restaurants, including the famed Mystic pizza. Very close to the Mystic seaport and a short drive to Old Mystic Village and the Aquarium. Thank you to our host and staff for ensuring a great and lovely stay and thank you for allowing our fur baby. ##### Lisa G. Stayed 4 nights in Jun 2024 ### 8/10 Good #### Rob Oct 14, 2024 Liked: Amenities, communication GREAT location, a very short walk to downtown and easy to find, not too far off the highway. The accommodations were average for us, which was fine because we weren't there all that much other than to sleep and cleanup before going out for meals and sightseeing. The ceiling tiles in the accommodation are mostly all warped and in need of replacement/alignment. Also, when trying to get some air in the place by opening a few windows it was quite noticeable that there were dead bugs/dirt inside the window areas that had collected and hadn't been cleaned in a while. Otherwise it was great for what it was, only other item would be that the walls (especially in the bedroom) are in dire need of some artwork, even just a few pictures (they are almost nonexistent). We did hangout the last night before we left, the TV room table for the couch area was a small round table much taller than the seating area, would have suited much better to just have a lower rectangular coffee table to use instead. Good communication by the owner on check-in and using the amenities, assuming other than locking up there wasn't anything about what to do for checkout?
