The apartment is above James Beard-nominated chef and Esquire's "Best Bars" cocktail lounge & restaurant. The renowned Oyster Club & Treehouse are next door, as well as the acclaimed Sift Bakery.⁣ Guests have full access to the "Shepherdess" apartment as well as the yard and deck shared with the other two apartments in the building.⁣ ⁣I am available via text message/phone when needed. Shepherdess and our Ashby-Randall listing both have entry doors on the same level of the deck and could be a nice opportunity if more than one unit is needed for guests traveling together. \*\*Despite plenty of sound proofing, sometimes goings-on from Dive and Port can be heard in this apartment on particularly boisterous evenings. Absolutely! The unit is ideally located in downtown Mystic ... exactly what I wanted. Alden was very responsive and quickly replaced an older chair that had broken. The unit had an elegantly tasteful decor and the backyard area overlooking the river was restful and pictureque. My only recommendation would be the addition of a small chest of drawers to accommodate clothing. I lived out of my suitcase the entire month long stay. The location is fantastic. Everything in Downtown Mystic is walkable from this 2nd floor apartment. A parking pass comes with the booking, so you always have a place to park. The kitchen is well stocked with all plates, pots, glassware, utensils. The King size bed is comfy and firm, the walk-in shower is great. We spent a lot of time with family who live in the area, but we could have easily spent a lot more time here. It was truly charming. The restaurants all around town are fantastic, and we appreciated the gift card (which came with our stay) for cocktails at the Port O Call. (Bartenders were professional and cocktails were top-notch!) As indicated in the listing, there is music that can be heard at night since this apartment is above a restaurant and a bar. It was neither loud nor bothersome to us. As another reviewer wrote, you could feel the bass more then hear the music, but we did not mind it. Alden, the host of the property, was easy to work with and she was quick to reply to all of our questions. We are happy that we found this place and look forward to staying again. ##### Diana R. Alden has pulled out all the stops with amenities, design, and comfort - as pictured! The location is great and very walkable. Note: the nature of the building lends itself to a decent amount of noise. I do not feel it warrants a negative review. The walls are thin; you can hear footsteps from upstairs guests and you can hear the next door neighbors movements. The bar downstairs is open late \~1am and people linger; we could clearly hear conversations/quarrels. If you can't hear the bar music, you can certainly feel it laying in bed. Our neighbors were incredibly noisy with a child and there was a drag show on the Sunday night of Labor Day weekend - surprise! As it was our second night, we knew the drill and decided to stay up and not try to fight sleep. Right in the heart of downtown Mystic, an easy walk to main street and tons of dining options. Property itself was really cool and we liked the feeling of our own little hide-away right in the midst of things.
