Had to call Peace office after getting email about departure date that implied my checkout was a day early. Tried repeatedly to call the office-no answer during office hours - had to get in the car to drive to office for assistance. Should not have needed to do that to get answers. Aug 31, 2025 #### 145 -1 Golden Bear Drive Housekeeping are excellent and honest but along with Maintenance they need to keep an eye out for issues as they care for the unit, the the mildew and mold we've had the past three years. A guest noticed it on their stay and was only there for a day when apparently it had been there for awhile. I do appreciate all the contact I have with Hannah and Shea they are very good and helpful. It was well stocked and the beds were very comfortable. A couple of board games were great for the family and a wonderful selection of books. The property management company was so easy to work with and had great communication so our check in was seamless even though we came in late. The condo was very clean and had been recently updated. The bathrooms had older tile, tubs and shower stalls but they were functional and very clean. This is one of the best. Comfortable beds, spacious living area, quiet, complete kitchen with all the necessaries. Plenty of silverware, dishes, pots and pans. Nice dining area. Had some construction happening on the building itself but it was manageable. Loved it so much we purchased one just like it a few buildings down. We will refer our friends to this one now. We went straight to the property looking for this lockbox (to the left of double glass doors, behind a palm tree and a rocking chair). We saw all of these things, but couldn't find the box. The phone number went to an answering machine. We then noticed that there was a management company listed at the bottom of the email and drove to their office. If you arrive outside of normal business hours...THE KEY IS AT THE MANAGEMENT OFFICE, in a lockbox, to the left of double glass doors, behind a rocking chair and palm tree. Tricky! ##### Catherine C. Aug 31, 2021 #### Good The home had been nicely redecorated, with new kitchen and hardwood floors, but bathrooms appeared dated despite new sinks. Bathroom toilets, floors and tubs were old, and there are signs of moisture problems. There were several issues we felt should be addressed: \*TV in LR loses its signal frequently and without affecting master BR TV. Likely a problem cable company should address \*Several lights are out: 2 in master bath (over shower and over tub) and also the light in hallway between master bath and BR \*There really should be a hairdryer for guest use! \*Carpet needs to be cleaned \*Humidity makes front door VERY difficult to open and close. Though a seasonal problem, it needs to be addressed. \* Bar stools are far too low, making it virtually unusable. The king size bed in master BR was extremely comfortable. Apr 13, 2023 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Peaceful and relaxing My family was looking for a quiet stay away from busy Myrtle beach, but still in SC, which allowed a pet. This turned out to be perfect for us. Although we weren't on the beach, it was plenty close to get to within about 10 minute drive. The unit is beautiful in a quiet community. We appreciated the back porch, which was screened in to just sit and talk, enjoy the morning coffee or just watch people playing golf. The trees were singing with all type of song bird morning and evening. The roads in the area are limited to 25 mph, and most drivers abide by that, which makes a walk with the dog refreshing. There are ponds in the area, which do host alligators and some are very large, so stay away from waters edge. I know my review gives 4 star above for cleanliness and on the whole it was clean, however there were a couple maintenance concerns which i did address with Peace Vacations. One is the rear screen porch door handle did not turn properly to open and close the door. Another was that the shower door in the master bathroom would not close completely which could allow some water to splash out to the floor and the final concern was that caulk inside the master shower had some larger cracks in it. A maintenance person did respond there according to my wife, while I was out, and lubricated the porch handle and it worked better. The caulk would need to be addressed after our stay due to cure time. Overall it was a really pleasant stay and we would come again. ##### Jared G.
