Would you like a vacation home where you can look over a lake from your hot tub, see the stars from your bed at night and enjoy the beach? How about some fishing from right below your balcony? Miniature golf, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, the Sandy Harbor family fun center, cafe, and convenience store in walking distance? Here's a unique vacation home in the popular Ocean Lakes destination. This two bedroom, two bath house has it all, hot tub, skylights, excellent decorating and furnishings, parking space, all on a serene lakefront setting just minutes from the beach and all the amenities Ocean Lakes has to offer PLUS access to your own golf cart. The master bedroom has a king size bed and TV, from there you can see the stars through a "greenhouse" skylight. The second bedroom has a queen size bed and TV. There is a daybed with a trundle bed below and a TV off the living room. The updated kitchen has granite countertops, a smooth top range, and refrigerator with ice dispenser in the door. There is a full complement of cookware, utensils, dishes, glasses, and tableware. There are a dining table and breakfast bar. The living room is tastefully furnished and decorated, it looks out onto Lake Emily. Four sliding glass doors let the sunshine and serenity in. The balcony outside has a table for six and just below is the hot tub, for you and your family to relax and enjoy the lake view. Lake Emily is stocked, so enjoy some fishing or just feed the ducks from the rope swing chairs shaded by the balcony. \*\*The person renting this property must be at least 25 years old, have a valid credit card, and be present for the entire rental\*\* Ocean Lakes is a complete vacation destination. The Sandy Harbor family fun center has the "Splash Zone" water park and game center that kids always love. The Nature Center can provide learning during vacation. There are several playgrounds near the beach, an Olympic size outdoor swimming pool, an indoor swimming pool for year round enjoyment, a convenience store, Sandy's Meet and Eat restaurant, the Sandy Harbor cafe, and the "snack shack" to grab a bite. Ocean Lakes charges $12 per vehicle per day for admission and parking per car if pass is purchased 10 days in advance, $15 per day if not. This must be paid directly to Ocean Lakes and is not included in our cost quote. Guests must agree to follow the Ocean Lakes golf cart rules listed in the iTrip tenant agreement (signed during booking), pay a $300 refundable golf cart deposit, and if a violation occurs there will be a $1,500 fine assessed. Ocean Lakes is perfect for a family vacation, away from the traffic and crowds, but still, a short drive to the wide variety of attractions, shopping, dining, and entertainment the Grand Strand has to offer. Luxury shopping and dining are a few minutes north in the Market Commons area. Just a short drive north is all the attractions and shopping of Myrtle Beach, Broadway at the Beach, Coastal Grand shopping center, the Myrtle Beach boardwalk, and one of the world's largest Ferris wheels. For a unique cultural experience, Brookgreen Gardens displays one of the world's largest collections of sculpture by American artists in a lush outdoor setting, along with a zoo and butterfly garden, it's just a few minutes south. Not an individual owner. Will never rent from them again purely because of the way they handle customers and business. The master bedroom mattress was very comfortable! That’s saying a lot because it is VERY hard for me to find a mattress that I can stand for a whole week! The kitchen is a bit small, but the countertops, sink, and cabinets are nice. The golf cart was also nice but it did have a bit of a squeak. The house was cleanish, but it needs a good deep clean. (We own a small cleaning company so we may be a bit more picky than most. ) Upstairs there is a pretty strong odor that may be coming from moisture from the A/C window unit running non stop. I did let the property manager know so that they could address it. It does seem the outside of the property has been a bit neglected. It was kind of tight getting in and out of the driveway. We have a minivan, I don’t think anything bigger would be doable there or at the very least it’d be difficult. We do recommend this property. ##### Melissa J. First off the check in process was not pleasant at all. Property was not ready until very last minute. When we arrived at the house, NONE of the keys worked except 1 to the back sliding glass door on the porch. There was no way to enter the property through the main door. You have to run around the house in the rain and come through the porch door and go through to unlock the door and let everyone else in. This was especially difficult with a disabled child which I called and explained to the property manager and was told she would contact the property owner to find out if there were more keys and call me back. I NEVER HEARD BACK from her. The house has been smoked in and had animals there and you can smell both. The hot tub sits on a slant and water pours out one side when you get in and there is no access to the hose pipe to refill it. The under porch swing that’s advertised looks so peaceful and enjoyable but it could disintegrate at any moment and the porch it’s on is about 3 feet wide with no railing. Beware is you have small children they could easily fall in. The house is really cute and could be much nicer but looks like it has been somewhat neglected for a while. The golf cart that comes with the property is junk. My parents rented a house at this same time and paid basically the same price with much nicer amenities. The lake view was nice. Would not rent here again and would not recommend this property, price point is nowhere close. ##### Ben S. This house is very comfortable. Nicely decorated. Great location! Being right on Lake Emily is one of the best locations in the park. Bring a fishing pole! If you have anyone in your party that has a handicap, this place may not be for you. We had someone in a wheelchair that had very limited access to the bathrooms and kitchen areas due to narrow door and opening widths for these areas. It presented a challenge we were not expecting. In addition, the house is located directly behind the golf cart repair building. Every morning at 8:00 AM, you could hear power tools and workers hollering over the noise from the shop. However, even with these issues, we had a very nice week and enjoyed all this house has to offer. The view is amazing and the hot tub was wonderful. The place could have been cleaned a little better. We would more than likely stay here again. ##### Terri S.
