"We really enjoyed this room. It was spacious compared to other hotels in Japan. I appreciated the sitting area next to the window as it provided a space to put our things and store our luggage, making the rest of the room more comfortable. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were not. I’ve used these same pillows at other budget hotels in Japan, like Tavinos, and I’m not a fan. They have beads in them, making them both flat and hard. I would have appreciated a second blanket in the room, as the bedding is minimal. The mini fridge was nice to have and gave us a place to store snacks and drinks in. The bathroom feels a little cramped, but it was fine, and the water pressure in the shower is great. I appreciated that room cleaning was free and could be requested daily by placing the appropriate magnate on the outside of your door. The location is great too and not too far from Shinjuku Station. There are two convenience stores at the bottom of the hotel, as well as other restaurants and facilities, including a pharmacy. The hotel also has a free luggage locker you can use in the lobby, which was great for the final day of our trip where we had time to explore before heading to the airport."

"I stayed at KOKO HOTEL Ikebukuro for 12 nights during my solo trip to Tokyo. The location was excellent, with easy access to Ikebukuro Station, restaurants, convenience stores, and shopping areas. It was a very convenient base for exploring Tokyo. The room was compact but functional, and the hotel offered good value for money. I also appreciated the convenient laundry facilities. The only downside was the soundproofing. I could occasionally hear loud noises from the neighboring room, which disturbed my rest. Overall, I enjoyed my stay. Ikebukuro is a wonderful neighborhood, and I would consider staying at this hotel again on my next visit to Tokyo."

It was clean and the rooms looked new and/or updated from other Dormy Inns I have stayed at and it was a delightful surprise to see a rather large hot spring facility on the top floor with a sauna and outdoor bath as well. I would stay here again and recommend due to the affordability, but in Ikebukuro it is a bit of a walk from the train station, however, it is very close to Sunshine City."
