"I am a solo female traveller. Zanzibar House is an excellent property in so many ways. The staff are friendly and helpful. The grounds are a delight to be in, with lots of comfortable places to sit and read or contemplate the beauty of the area. I did not use the pool and I am sure it would be lovely. "Our inbound transportation wasn’t there due to misunderstanding on the hotel part even though we had called and exchanged few emails but they found a quick solution for us and it went very smoothly. I would suggest to add some snacks (cookies, cakes, crisps, chocolate bars, etc .) at the bar and not only drinks to make it more convenient."

"The staff at La Perla were super friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. The room was very clean but basic and more African style rather than modern which for me was the attraction. The pool area is extremely clean and there’s plenty of sun beds both around it and on the beach. Food is the restaurant is very decent and doesn’t cost the earth. The view of the beach from the restaurant is amazing. The resort doesn’t sell alcohol but the restaurant next door does if that’s important to you."

"We were so glad we picked this location! The city was way too busy but this corner of the island was relaxed, spacious, had good food, lodgings were perfect. The staff was always thinking ahead and took great care of us. We took advantage of a couple of tours through them and they were wonderful also -- I would suggest not doing more than one in a day unless you want to be gone the whole day! Getting around the island is not easy. Loved Zanziblue -- also took advantage of their airport pickup and return. A great way to end our mainland safari. We needed the rest."
