We did cook on the grill and that worked fine. Kellye is a great host, always available, and encouraged us to come out and enjoy the sunsets which were beautiful. We originally booked this home for a family reunion for 5 aging siblings. Unfortunately 3 sisters could not make it so was just my brother and I. The property was immaculate inside and out and was equipped with really anything you might need or could want. Also, the WIFI was fast and solid. Perfect for a rain day. The property is surrounded by woodlands and as advertised, has a stupendous Lake Michigan view. It is easy to get to and from with good roads all around yet very, very peaceful and quiet. The property owners were very cordial and made every effort to ensure that we lacked nothing during our stay. In addition to the printed directory of attractions, activities, beaches, etc. located in the cottage, the owners provided their personal take on things to do in the area. Very helpful! All-in-all, we felt this property was by far the best we have stayed at in roughly 10 years of exploring western Michigan. We spent our days at Duck Lake Beach (<5 minute drive), Pere Marquette Beach (30 minute drive), and Muskegon State Park Beach (10 minute drive) and enjoyed sunsets, s'mores, and board games in the evenings back at the house! Groceries, etc are about 15-20 minutes away in Muskegon. From the moment we booked and received a great list of recommendations for the area from Kellye, to her texts just checking in during our stay, communication was open, friendly, and kind.
