We really enjoyed our stay at the Serenity Point cabin. It's in a gated community and feels quite safe. The cabin is located near the top of the mountain which is great as it's very quiet, but as the listing mentioned, it's a pretty tough drive up with some steep corners so an SUV, 4 wheel drive or all-wheel drive is definitely recommended. The cabin was well-furnished and the kitchen had all the things we needed when we stayed in for meals. I would definitely rent this place again in the future! ##### Frederic T. The location is very secluded and quiet, which is what we wanted; a peaceful place to relax. The cabin was hot when we got there because the AC wasn't working. We called the after hours contact and he had AC repairmen come to fix the problem the next day. The AC was working within a few minutes. The host offered to refund a portion of our rental cost to compensate us for the inconvenience. That was greatly appreciated. Overall we got just what we wanted; a peaceful, quiet time in the woods in a great cabin. ##### Greg M. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. A couple of things to note…there is no hair dryer at the property even though it is listed as an amenity. This is something we always look for and don’t usually pack. Fortunately, one of us had packed one. I’d suggest removing that item from the amenities list. Also, the ice maker in the refrigerator/freezer didn’t work. The owner had provided 2 ices trays which worked for us since there were only 2 of us and we spent quite a bit of time away from the house exploring the area. However, if there had been 6 of us we would not have had enough and it’s not convenient to just run to the grocery store for more. Definitely grab a bag on your way to the cabin if you think you might need it. It was a bit of a pain to have to return the key to the management office since it was 20 minutes in the opposite direction of our trip home. Since there is a lock box at the property, it would have been nice to be able to leave the key there and just head on our way. ##### Barbara V.
