Recently remodeled! This beautiful home was built by my father. Custom wood design with plenty of room for your entire family! The master bedroom has it's own private balcony! The main level also has a deck. Full use home means you have everything you need from your washer and dryer to your pots and pans! You are just a few minutes away from Munising, which is famous for their pictured rock tours! Canoeing down the Au Train River is also something you won't want to miss out on! A great vacation spot with lots to do! The hot tub was not functional while we were there, but that was okay with us. The kitchen was well furnished with dishes. As I recall, the ice maker did not function. Comfortable beds. Tricia was always quick to respond and accommodating to things throughout our stay and it made the weekend flow so easy and peaceful. The garage was a wonderful peace of mind to keep our car safe and the high decks were the perfect spot to stay safe while enjoying nature especially at night with star gazing. The upper level deck was the perfect spot to put a chair or lay a blanket down on a clear night! The rental was stocked really well and made family meals super easy and manageable after days out exploring. Lastly the convenience to how close all of our destinations were for hiking and rock collecting was a pleasant surprise! Home is very very close to Christmas and Munising - so great for exploring the area. 3rd floor master and bath are lovely! The owner was very kind and helpful. The hot hub in the pictures isnā€™t working and the hot water is minimal. We had 4 adults and there wasnā€™t enough water for two showers back to back. Itā€™s a 3 story home, so not for anyone who canā€™t go stairs. The trash was overflowing in the garage and filled the house with flies. It wasn't quite as advertised though. The drive to the house was in very rough shape and hard to navigate. The hot tub on the balcony was nearly empty and had tree debris in it. Both balconies had rotten boards that made them unsafe to use. The propane tank was empty, so the main source of heat for the building, the fireplace, didn't work. The baseboard heater in one of the main floor bedrooms didn't work. Flies were coming the house from some unknown source in such numbers we were using the vacuum cleaner to suck them up. When contacted about the heat and hot tub issues, the owner offered a full refund so we could find a hotel in one of the nearby towns. Since the point of the trip was to spend time together, not in separate hotel rooms, the offer was declined. A small refund was offered instead. Aug 8, 2025 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy Tricia was great to work with, and our overall stay was fantastic. The property was minutes from Munising and the AuTrain River so it provided access to everything we wanted to do. Tricia communicated with us about garbage collection (Tuesdays), new furniture delivery (the new couch is nice!!), the condition of the road leading to the property (poor due to a huge storm the week prior), and the steep steps from the garage to the main living quarters. They are definitely old-build steps, narrow and steep - typical of old built homes in the mid-west. Tricia addressed every question I asked and although she is in Colorado, she had people out to help us with the one issue we needed. Our family had a wonderful stay, and we'd go back again if staying in Pictured Rocks another time! If you are up for a rural, comfortable home to stay in that is perfectly situated for experiencing the Pictured Rocks area, this is what you're looking for! ##### Shannon B.
