Pros - The staff were very attentive and the hotel was very clean. Cons - The lifts need to be recalibrated. They seem to have a mind of their own and you could go up and down several times before arriving on the correct floor. At least one lift was out of order for the entirety of our 4 night stay and a second lift was out of order for at least the third day, causing some long delays in waiting for a lift. The mattress on our bed was very stiff and uncomfortable. I found food and drink at the hotel to be very expensive - €4 for a bottle of water, €29 for breakfast! - It feels as though they were taking advantage of there not being many places to get food and drink in the immediate vicinity of the hotel.

Probably the worst customer service Ive ever recieved. Checking in we recieved absolutely no information about the hotel facilities. Nothing was organized for us, for example parking. The first morning there was not enough spaces for breakfast, so we were sat in the lobby with FAR less choice for the same price. The hostess checking people in to breakfast on the second day was immensely rude. Booked a room with a balcony to see the fireworks. Was put on a lower floor so couldn't actually see them. I booked this months ago. I should've been given a better room. Extremely disappointing. The bed was rock hard. The pillows were comfortable though. Any engagement with reception took a ridiculously long time. They even served other people who just arrived and pushed in line, before people who had been waiting. I doubt I'll bother with staying at any Hilton again.

Hard bed & not central
I was stuck in the hotel whilst there was a snow storm - my only issues were the bed was very hard and the pillows very uncomfortable. On a side note the hotel is not very central and made it impossible to do anything.

Away from the city and quiet. But a quick walk through the English Garden to the city center to get ready for the day! Staff was excellent! The biggest downside is that when booking through Expedia a cancellable reservation really isn’t. So be solid of your plans before you book and don’t pay extra for a cancellable reservation since it really can’t be.

The staff at this property were inconsistent and may need additional training. At check-in, I requested to merge two reservations. I was told my options were to 1) check out and check back in again during my stay or 2) I could merge my reservations for a fee. I opted for option #2, to avoid disrupting my trip. I was still locked out of my room the day my original reservation ended, so I did not save any time in the long run. The night before my flight out of Munich, house keeping kept calling me to check on me? I had just spoken with the front desk a few hours prior, and I feel that it's inappropriate to repeatedly call a quest at night time. If the "do not disturb" sign is up, how is that an invitation to call someone repeatedly after dark? Finally, I prepaid for my room reservations, and they still tried to charge me again. I don't trust that this is worked out, so I will need to monitor the situation closely. All in all, I felt this hotel was quite disorganized. There are nicer hotels in better locations in Munich.

Came to Munich for Oktoberfest, this hotel was perfect for us. Right next to the English Gardens, we walked there every day and thoroughly enjoyed the beer gardens. It was about 3 miles to the frstival grounds and just over a mile to the old town. Staff was very friendly and helpful and the food in the restaurant was delicious. We will definitely stay here again!

The facilities inside the room is a little bit old. No free drinking water and no grocery shops nearby.

Not the best location for tourists, nice lobby.
Location not ideal for tourists. There is a bus stop, if you know how to navigate the bus system. Nice lobby, breakfast buffet was expensive. We are not big breakfast eaters. We decided to order off the breakfast menu - yogurt with fruit, oatmeal and one of our family wanted 2 eggs with bacon. Took several "asks" to get a menu and more than 40 minutes later got our food. We would have been satisfied if they had simply gone to the buffet and brought us the food from there!

Munich Trip
Trip with my two sons to visit Munich for first time and go and watch the football. Excellent location and transportation easy to find around hotel as is walks to city or subway etc. Hotel is very clean and staff all friendly.

This hotel needs renovation. The rooms were old and not in good condition. One bathroom of our 2 rooms was dirty.

The family room was perfect for our family of four. The englischer garden was beautiful. Not very close to many restaurants and it’s a long walk to downtown, but we planned for it and enjoyed the walk. Bring comfortable shoes. Staff was extremely friendly.

Christmas markets with toddler
Overall it's a very nice hotel. Great location (not central but with easy connections), beautifully decorated for Christmas, really nice food and great service at the restaurant / bar (they really went out of their way to make our toddler and us feel special). It was quite busy during our stay so unfortunately reception and housekeeping were not as good as we would expect them to be at this type of the hotel (receptionalways crowded, mistakes made by them to our credit card, coffee/tea/ cream not restocked in room, cups not changed - little but annoying things :) But we would still come back and stay there again :)

the room they appointed to was very old and seems to be abandoned, no frig and phone was not working !!! most of reception staff are not friendly and not helpfull.
