I did not have hot water for 3 days. They only did my bed once in 7 days.and that was when we checked out. They served tea with milk instead of black coffee. This was not. There was an old metal locker to put clothes in and the safe was in there... but not fixed to anything so really not a safe! The bathroom was a wet room and the floor stayed wet after you had showered so a trip to the toilet was a slippery affair. Forget toiletries, you need to bring your own. We left the room for a quick walk having just arrived. When we got back 30 minutes later we saw that the bin had been emptied so someone had obviously been in there. Why they needed to go in to service or do anything with the room when we had only just arrived, we dont know, but I found it very intrusive so we kept the Do not disturb sign on the door for the rest of the stay. There was a kettle so thats a plus point and we did have a great view of the sea and of all the homeless people who sleep on the sea wall every night which was quite upsetting. In terms of the area Mumbai is filthy. They are trying to get people to use litter bins. If its working, it isnt obvious. We also spent an hour trying to find an ATM that worked. Tried 9 before managing to get cash. It took us to Khau Gali and not the Hotel. since I was checking in late at around 2 am there was not a soul in sight to ask for direction till some helpful police patrol helped us out. The Lobby is fine, the moment you step in to the hotel corridor upstairs is reminiscent of the Government Hospital building in the 1970's at best. Room was basic. Linen not to good. Breakfast is served in the room. No dining hall or restaurant exists.
