Good location for shopping, needs to be renovated

Posted 4-Feb-2016
Pros: The pool is lovely
Cons: Wasn't our first time there so I can definitely say that the rooms needs to be renovated. Next door neighbors can be noisy.
Location: Walk distance from the Mlanga Mall that is exactly in the opposite side of the Street. If you don't want drive you can find a restaurant in the mall.
the location is convenient for shopping and the price is reasonable, but the rooms and the bath definitely need to be renovated. The air conditioning did not work well in the living room and master bedroom. The room occupied by our son was equipped only with the fan. We definitely have suffered from the heat.

Nice place for a stopover

Posted 23-Dec-2015
Pros: Easy access, but not easily found if you do not use GPS.
Cons: Signage to the Hotel.
Location: Right next to a mall for shopping and easily accessible from the N4.
I stayed the night in Nelspruit on my way from Mozambique to Johannesburg. I enjoyed having a spacious room with cooking facilities. I will stay again for future stopovers and if I am needing to stay in the Nelspruit area.

Very well positioned. Cabinets musty, badly smell.

Hotel is very well positioned in the city. Family room is well spacous. Hotel facilities are good including a big pool, proper for children to have a nice fun. Room installation is old. Kitchen and room cabinets musty, badly smelling all over the room. Airconditioning noisy and old, does not cool down properly.

Good middle of the road self-catering hotel

Posted 15-Oct-2015 on Hotels
The Mecure Nelspruit hotel is a pleasant middle of the road hotel. Good beds, limited DSTV on flat screen TV and it is self-catering orientated. Good kitchen with microwave, kettle and fridge. Nice swimming pool and bar area. Blocks 4&5 are in the middle so less noise as furthest from the road. It is in a safe secure parking area and close to a shopping centre if you wish to eat out. Bathroom is good and has bath and shower. It has a good desk for working. Wi-Fi you are limited too 500mb per day, thereafter you pay. I think the days of not having unlimited Wi-Fi for free is a standard and hotels who do not offer this is living in the past. In my room Wi-Fi signal was strong and I was in block 6, furthest from reception. Room has air conditioner. At the hotels.com price I paid around R600 it was good value for money. I however see normal rates are around R1300-R1600, for this price you can get far better hotel.

We really enjoyed ourselves. A lovely pool for the really hot days. Helpful and friendly staff. Centrally situated. Highly recommendable. Will be back.

Happy Family Stay

Posted 16-Sep-2015 on Hotels
I am a divorced father living in Johannesburg and my kids live in Nelspruit with their mother. Unfortunately due to debts I cannot afford to see my kids on a monthly basis as travelling is very expensive, not to mention sleeping over. With the reduced online booking cost and the suitable, friendly and clean accommodation it really made the overnight stay for me and my kids a pleasant and enjoyable experience, even with the cool cloudy weather.
