The property is gorgeous and we loved all the frogs, birds and sounds of nature. It’s secluded and private, but not too far from all the sights of the island. The property is away from main road and quiet. It is fenced in so kids can run around safely. There is a lot for them to explore. Make sure you take rain boots for the kids. The jungle is alive with its own vibes. Chicken's, frogs and occasional domesticated barks. Perfect for sampling this side of the island. Kilauea was flowing and less than 30 minutes away. While it's not a modern abode, its rustic charm is perfect if you’re looking for a country retreat. The water here comes from a catchment system, and even though we ran out on our third night, the host was super quick to refill our tank and fix a clogged filter issue. This spot is great if you want to escape city life, soak up some nature, and listen to the coqui frogs at night. The property is magical and so beautifully kept with amazing plants, trees, and flowers. We loved being off the beaten path and away from the tourist bustle. The cottage was the perfect size for our family of 4\. It was very clean and the beds were comfortable. We loved that there were two king size beds. The outdoor shower was a delight. The frogs are loud at night but we enjoyed them (they are great background noise to sleep to). It’s close enough to both Hilo and Volcano Park that we could do all the sightseeing we wanted without too long of a drive. The owner was easy to communicate with. If you like being out in nature away from it all, this is the place for you! ##### Randa G.
