The cabin accommodates up to 4 guests with a queen bed and a full-size sleeper sofa located in the living area. Enjoy the firepit, horseshoe pit or 2 hammocks while grilling. Located 5 minutes from the sparkling Chattooga River and 25 minutes from Highlands-NC, Cashiers-NC, Clayton-GA and only 15 minutes from the quaint little town of Walhalla with a multitude of eateries and fine shops. Come enjoy the many local waterfalls, scenic rivers, hiking trails, and the newly constructed Stumphouse Mountain Biking Park alongside the historic Stumphouse Tunnel. The local Fly shop can assist you with all your fishing accessories. We are a short 18-minute drive to Chattooga Belle Farm which provides a great selection of farm to table staples as well as Wine tasting. Come relax and refresh your soul with us! We were chasing waterfalls for a story that will appear in South Carolina Living Magazine and within one weekend saw 15 good to spectacular ones not far from the cabin. Yellow Branch Falls may be my favorite, but Brasstown Falls is actually 4 falls in 1 with minimal hiking and should not be missed.There are 60 waterfalls listed for Oconee County in Thomas King's "Waterfall Hikes of Upstate South Carolina," now available in third edition from UGA Press. We used King's book as our primary guide along with the book that's available at the cabin. The website waterfallwalker.com covers the same information and has video & photos.We also enjoyed some good meals in Westminister and Walhalla and a fantastic pizza at Humble Pie down the road.
