"I booked this hotel because they had a buffet with good reviews. The buffet shut down the week prior to our stay and the breakfast in the restaurant was pretty lackluster. That was frustrating. One of the beds on our room didn’t have sheets on the bed so we called down to the front desk and a staff member brought up a comforter and said that the rest of the bedding was folded up inside. There was no offer for them to make the bed, they just handed the bundle over with the expectation that WE would make the bed. Come to find out, there weren’t any sheets in the bundle, it was just a comforter so we then had two comforters and no sheets! There were also several pieces of broken plastic on the floor of the room when we arrived which made me question whether or not the room had been vacuumed. I wouldn’t stay here again. The location is okay, but I wasn’t impressed with the hotel or competence of the staff. "

"Excellent experience. The property was clean and well designed. The two pools were beautiful with one slightly heated for adults. The star party event Saturday night was awesome - kudos to the astronomer and his telescope. The property is surrounded by oaks and cedars and sits on a hilltop ridge. It felt private, but restaurants weren’t far in Kerrville. I didn’t realize it was a time share property and was surprised to be asked to join a sales tour. But it wasn’t required - I declined and it was no big deal. "

"Hotel is in good condition. Just there is no cleaning service for a two night stay. If you choose to order breakfast, be prepare to wait in line for a while"

"We had an incredible stay at YO Ranch—truly a one-of-a-kind experience that exceeded all expectations. What stood out the most was the hospitality. The staff made us feel less like guests and more like we were visiting family. Llisa, the front desk manager, personally gave us a tour and welcomed us in such a warm and genuine way—it really set the tone for the entire stay. Our cabin was beautiful and full of character, with a rich sense of history that made the experience feel even more special. The property itself is amazing—we were able to see exotic wildlife up close, including zebras and even a giraffe, which was unforgettable for the whole family. The pool area was fantastic—super relaxing—and in the evening they lit a fire and had s’mores, which was a perfect touch. The food at the Chuck Wagon was excellent and gave us a true ranch-style dining experience. Chef Luis was outstanding—not only was the food great, but he shared fascinating stories about the ranch’s 100+ year history that made the experience even more meaningful. We also loved exploring the property. Taking a UTV out on the trails allowed us to see even more wildlife—ostriches, buffalo, wildebeest, rams, elk, deer, and more. It really felt like an adventure every time we went out. One of the most memorable moments was the sunset by the tipis—it was absolutely jaw-dropping and something we’ll never forget. We will definitely be back and will be bringing friends and family to share this amazing place."

"Very outdated room not at all what the photos show"

"Best part was a friendly person at the desk. The room was a pet friendly room. Smelled like we were sleeping in a doghouse. Floor was sticky and the headboards had to be wiped down before we were comfortable sleeping near them. Overall condition of the place was run down. Will not stay here again."
