On arrival the cottage was warm and inviting, very clean and thoughtfully presented. As most of us spent the weekend skiing we did not spend any time in the cottage during the day but my wife did and she loved it. The surrounding countryside was a delight and so too was Maggie our host who provided ample breakfast food and baked treats. So on the hot days when we stayed, we were more than comfortable under just the ceiling fans and open but flycsreened doors. There was plenty of room to just kick back and relax. Easy unloading of luggage from the parking area. It is located at a quiet end of a road, past which there are views of the lake, to be enjoyed on our various walks. A variety of birds and the odd kangaroo about the place in the evening. We really liked the kookaburra chorus in the morning as a wake up call. The homely touches of fresh baked in-house bread, the jams, the muffins delivered on the last morning and the breakfast treats including eggs and cereals were delightful. The rear decks overview a small valley leading to a small dam, but provide an ideal chill out for drinks and nibbles in the evening for adults. There was plenty of scope I'm sure for kids to enjoy the set up in the main room clearly designed for them, but as we were all adults, we gathered in the main room with the sofas, chairs and deck. We enjoyed the laid back, comfy cottage style of the place with the rendered walls and the bright colour pallet. The showers were excellent. Had a great time and look forward to a return visit.
