Needs new mattresses
Ana's was an inexpensive, functional stay. You get what you pay for. It did the job, but the bed was terrible.

Bed and NO breakfast!!...or new sheets/towels
Horrible. I read the ratings in advance so I was a bit prepared but not prepared enough! No attempt was even made to serve breakfast. I booked in advance but I was informed at check in that breakfast would not be served this weekend because it was so busy. Not much I could do at that point...no other hotels available. There was no adjustment to my price for no breakfast- almost $20 in town for breakfast- Oyster Run Weekend. The bathroom is shared which is not clear on the hotel.com site. My room was not made or fresh linens supplied. The bed is not comfortable.

Not bad, but would rather stay in a motel/hotel
The pros: The house is clean and located on a quiet street despite being just off the main drag. Comfortable pillows. Firm bed. Large kitchen facility. We were allowed to check in early, which was nice. Parking is ample. The cons: More of a hostel setting. There are 3 shared bathrooms for 8 bedrooms. It's unattended for the most part. You have to check in from a different location, which is a motel a block away. The breakfast consisted of a Costco muffin, a fruit, and a Costco bottled water, which you took with you from the check in location. Because it is an older house, you can hear through the walls into the adjacent bedroom, as well as people walking in the hallways. The WiFi is very weak, at least in room 6. Overall this is suited for people who don't mind a hostel environment where you all share bathrooms and lounge/kitchen area if you're planning to make your own meals. The rooms are clean and the house does have nice updates, especially the bathrooms. It was a bit pricey for not having your own bathroom and very very limited continental breakfast. The location is good if you want to check out the little boutique shops and eats.

Enjoyed our stay:)
We were in town for an Arts Festival, and the town was booked solid. This was a great option if you are interested in a communal setting. The room was spotless, the bathrooms were new and super clean. We were able to walk to our event, and were central to a grocery store and many restaurants.

More a boarding house than bed and breakfasr
I had to go to a different location to check in and pick up the key. When I did, I was informed that the bathrooms are shared. Then I learned that because the owner was busy, she didn't have time to go to Costco to get muffins which would have been the breakfast. So she gave me five dollars off the room. Room was not bad, and reasonably clean, bathrooms were clean but shared. Location is very convenient to downtown Anacortes. But, it certainly was not what I expected from a bed-and-breakfast.

Not a good experience.
This was a "do it yourself" breakfast. Not what we expected! Furthermore, the shower was inoperable, which really put us off. Also, you had to go to a motel to check in and out. It took at least 20 minutes to find our reservation. All in all not a good experience. We will not do this place again!

Not what we expected. Had to go to a local motel to pick up the key- the motel was a place we Never would have stayed! Our reservation was lost so we had to take a room with the bathroom down the hall. Our breakfast was water apples and a bad muffin in a basket. We had to make our own coffee the house kitchen. The room and bath were very clean. There was no staff person ever at the house.

Bait and switch
As others also experienced this B&B did not have the room with bath that was reserved and confirmed. Substitute room was inappropriate, noisy, and Spartan. The shared bath had light controls OUTSIDE in the public area. There was no policing of wet, stray towels. Breakfast, as such, was a day-old muffin and unrefrigerated yogurt.

Average B&B.
Disappointing for the money. There is no front desk. You must travel to another motel property a few blocks away to collect your key. You're alerted to this fact after you've parked and carted all of your belongings to the locked front door. The "honeymoon suite" had no air conditioning - 90+ degree temperatures all week - fail. Add a plastic cover to the mattress and the result is a lousy night's sleep on top of the covers. There was no closet, just some re-purposed shelving units with hastily installed closet rods. The TV was mounted near the ceiling with cords and cables hanging everywhere. "Breakfast" was two muffins wrapped in aluminum foil, two cups of yogurt and two apples in the mini fridge. Although clean, everything looked and felt like it was done in a rush. While technically a "bed" and "breakfast" were provided, don't expect a typical B&B experience.

Wrong sized sheets and bed pad. No toilet paper, no toiletries no soap, 1 breakfast for 2 nights stay. Breakfast was store muffin, fruit and tiny yogurt. No service staff. Towel used as bathmat. Taken and not replaced on day 2. Kitchen empty of cookware, dishes, etc.
