My husband and I loved sitting in the backyard in the evening - lawn furniture was nice. It had everything we needed for us, the grandparents and also the parents and kids. Unfortunately the foozball game was not working right but that was the only problem. Beds were comfortable but living room couches were all very low and soft and not that comfortable. The board games were a hit and I imagine even more so if we had littles with us. The home had a lovely cross breeze in the mornings and evenings when we were there. It turned out to be a 4 minute walk to our retreat center. It is a short walk downtown to the local restaurants and shops. I wish there'd have been one more bathroom, but we made it work. The yard space is an extra bonus to sit outside and get some fresh air. The owners were very good about getting back to us. I'd stay again, for sure! ##### Wendy W. Simply a gem of a home right on the edge of downtown. Centrally located to everything that is Shasta . Walk downtown , walk to coffee shop , hike up the street to awesome trailheads and essentially 15 to 20 mins to everything outdoors ,...skiing , fishing all that is good in Shasta . House is super spacious, yet super cozy . Well appointed , beautiful interior , awesome basement , big tv and incredible wood stove with tons of wood . The kitchen was well-stocked. The owner was very responsive, answering all our questions within a few hours. The only issue we had is that the house is located on a main road. The location had its pluses, including a grocery store and restaurants within walking distance. At the same time, even though there wasn't a lot of traffic, the passing cars were still noisy and prevented us from sleeping with open windows at night. Still, this was a minor issue.
