The Notary Hotel was super conveniently located, and just a really wonderful stay. Reading Market is right around the corner for a large variety of food, drink, and provisions. The historic property is beautiful, and the rooms are well appointed, with no shortage of comfort. View of City Hall was a plus!

Great spacious room. Nice lobby to sit and relax. Lovely decor. Drinks/ambiance and staff at bar could have been better but overall enjoyed our stay and will be back.

Great hotel that's right across from the City Hall station. Also very close to the convention center with lots of food options in the area. Loved the soundproof rooms. Would stay again.

This is a clean property in a convenient location with a lot of character. The staff is helpful and friendly. The property is across the street from city hall with easy access to public transportation. The convention center, Reading Terminal Market, 13th street shopping and restaurants are close. We walked to the historical sites and Love Park. A great property. I’d highly recommend.

LOVED our first ever stay at The Notary. Staff and so helpful and friendly. Train station is nice and close, despite being in the city centre you don't hear a sound once in your room. Hotel is very clean. Loved it.

The Notary is an absolutely stunning hotel. It’s right across the street from the Philadelphia City Hall. This is my second time staying at this hotel and I keep coming back for a reason. It’s safe, beautiful, and cozy.

Easy check in, friendly staff, clean. Good location. Pillows huge and uncomfortable - it would be nice to have more options. No amenities like cotton rolls or Qtips. Otherwise, quite a nice hotel.

Our check-in process was seamless and super fast; valet parking was reasonable and very easy (not cheap but on par with the neighborhood). Room was clean, stylish and well sized (family of 4) and appointed with coffee, etc. Location is good -- walkable to Rittenhouse restaurants and Reading Terminal Market (which was great for breakfast) and would have been walkable to Independence Square but the weather didn't cooperate. Not on the hotel, but just a warning that we took the subway from the station right across from the hotel (we're from NY so are very comfortable with public transport) and sadly it did not feel safe with our kids -- open drug use, etc.

We enjoyed our stay at The Notary Hotel. Bed and pillows are sooo comfy! Complimentary water bottles were pretty helpful. Staff provided us with a microwave in the room per request. Walking distance to Independence Hall and many other must see. Don’t miss Reading Terminal Market a block away!

Not on par with other Autograph Collection properties. Our room needed a makeover. It was very dark and poorly lit. The ceilings were cracked, there were gaps between the tile and the walls in the bathroom. There was a dark water ring lining the tub (as if standing water had been in there for quite some time.) One of the mirrors in the bathroom was hanging off of the wall. When you pull into valet, no one offers to assist you with bags and there are no visible luggage carts. I have stayed at Sofitel on numerous occasions (at a lesser cost) and the service and accommodations were impeccable. I wanted to try this property because the pictures online are beautiful and I've stayed at Autograph Collection properties before and had great experiences. This was disappointing.

The staff were beyond friendly, accommodating and the location itself was convenient for travel and we had a beautiful view from the room. Absolutely worth a stay again in the future.
