Tucked amidst a pristine botanical landscape, Mulberry at Franklin Vale Retreat is a private sanctuary – graceful, refined, and intimately connected to nature. Designed with timeless elegance and an unwavering attention to detail, the interiors evoke quiet luxury, with hand-selected furnishings, organic textures, and a warm, earthy palette. Panoramic bushland views frame every space, inviting the outdoors in and encouraging moments of deep exhale.  
  
Wake to soft morning mists cascading over rolling hills or spend a languid afternoon beside the gas log fire, wrapped in stillness. Every element of your stay is crafted to slow time and elevate the senses.  
  
Mulberry Villa exudes a sense of space and luxurious scale, on a footprint of over 100m2 with 3m cathedral ceilings surrounded by full length panoramic windows to capture breathtaking views. Mulberry’s interiors are based on a green palette, expertly curated by internationally-renowned interior designer Diane Bergeron.  
  
Designed as a couple’s retreat, Mulberry offers a sumptuous bathroom with luxe amenities, a fully equipped kitchen, plush king bedding, and expansive indoor-outdoor living areas.  
  
Though you’ll feel utterly secluded, Mulberry Villa lies just minutes from Daylesford and Hepburn Springs. Explore mineral springs, artisan cafés and restaurants, boutiques, spas and local galleries, before retreating to your haven in the hills.  
  
The Neighborhood:  
  
Mount Franklin is a striking extinct volcanic crater just 10 minutes north of Daylesford. Known for its perfectly formed cone and tranquil bush surrounds, it’s a favourite local spot for picnics, walking trails, and stargazing. The crater is encircled by a ring of tall gums and pine trees, creating a natural amphitheatre that feels both peaceful and otherworldly. Rich in Dja Dja Wurrung cultural significance, Mount Franklin offers a quiet connection to nature and history, all within easy reach of Daylesford, Hepburn Springs, Trentham, Castlemaine and other Victorian Goldfields attractions.  
  
Getting Around:  
  
Exploring the region is a breeze, thanks to the well-connected network of country roads. Opting for self-driving is highly recommended as it provides the utmost flexibility and convenience. Please always drive to the road conditions and plan ahead, it’s not unusual to encounter unsealed roads and wildlife so please drive with caution.

Guests are required to provide photo ID for insurance purposes. We pride ourselves on being good and respectful neighbours – We are a NO PETS, NO PARTIES, NO EVENTS property. Mulberry Villa is a couples only retreat and therefore it is not suitable for children.  
  
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: We are now in the Fire Danger Period, which may begin as early as October and extend through to May, depending on conditions. CFA restrictions are in force, and no open flames are permitted at any time. This includes fire pits, wood-burning fireplaces, and any internal or external fires—these are strictly not allowed and form a firm house rule. All properties are equipped with safe alternative heating options for your comfort, and during this period we do not supply wood or kindling. Significant fines apply for breaching fire safety laws, so please take care and help protect yourself, our community, and this beautiful region. You can check current Fire Danger Period details for Hepburn on the CFA website.
