![AKA The Donnelly House
John P. Donnelly came to Mount Dora in 1879 from Pittsburgh, PA. He married Annie McDonald Stone in 1881 and built this Queen Anne style house in 1893 as a gift to her. He was among the founders of the local yacht club, and served as the city´s first mayor in 1910. The Donnelly House, now owned by Mount Dora Lodge #238, F&AM, was listed in the National Register of Historic Places on April 4, 1975.

« Great little spot right in the heart of Mt. Dora. Very convenient and walking distance to everything. Would recommend but be aware some rooms are fairly small. Reserved a room that was supposed to sleep 4 for a girls weekend. We were in Amethyst (room 3). There was one full sized bed and one queen pull out. Both the bed and the pullout were extremely comfortable but when the pullout is open it takes up the majority of the sitting room. Spacious bathroom though. Just difficult to move around...

"Très bel endroit, belle piscine et beaux décors. Grande chambre, bien insonorisée. Avons été upgradé sans l’avoir demandé. Nourriture au resto de type cafétéria correcte. Comment le Check in se fait(quantité de personne qui arrive vs personnel et comment ça se déroule) pourrait être grandement amélioré. Indication plus claire sur stationnement aussi serait apprécié lors de l’arrivée car les autos se stationnent et débarque devant l’hôtel alors que les autres véhicules attendent pour passer. Le petit stationnement pour Check in insuffisant. Personnel à la réception très gentil"

"Very very nice hotel with lots of services (Universal parks ticketing, car rental, a gift shop, restaurant, a pool bar & Starbucks) in addition to an awesome and clean pool, a large gym, a mini game room. Everything you need for a family or even for a romantic stay ! We had a great time ! The hotel is clean, the room is large, the people at the gift shop, the life guards as well as the person from the ticketing booth were so welcoming and helpful ! Thanks a lot to everyone :-) If there was one improvement I would recommend that would be to add storage or drawers in the rooms. We stayed for 5 nights in a standard room and it would have been more confortable to be able to take out our clothes from our luggages, especially with a kid. There are some but a little more would have been nice. A part from this, everything was perfect. Thanks again to the teams for making it so great. This wasn't our first stay, we will definitely come back! "
