What an absolute pleasure staying here. The cabin has everything you need, plus it was pet friendly. It clean and comfortable. The screened balcony was perfect, no bugs getting in, my puppy not getting out, but we could still feel the breeze and see out at the view with no issues. Sue (the owner) was so helpful and friendly. We ended up staying an extra night. The only thing missing, was some walking tracks. It would have been great to get out into the trees and have a look around. But just a quick drive down the road and there was a pet friendly cafe and park.

Oh Karra you should have asked - we have over 50 tracks and trails within 5 km of here and one right next door and all but 2 are pet friendly. Next time i can show you all the options :-) Thanks so much for the lovely feedback and glad you all had a super timeregards Sue

staff was friendly and room was clean. We were able to get a upgrade to Superior room. The position of the resort was very convenient as we were going to the winery and it was close. The only problem was the bed maybe time to upgrade as it was very hard

Checkin last night was the BEST CHECKIN IV EVER RECEIVED.The welcome board made us feel very special .The little note on the welcome board was so beautiful. I certainly will be highly recommending this very special place to everyone.

Property was better than expected however a few repairs needed. 1. Toilet seat flips around, not secure. Very dangerous. 2. Shower head leaked and water flowing onto the floor outside of the shower door. Kitchen area way too small and no cook-top. Even though there was a cook top manual. More maitence would make this a much more pleasant accommodation stay.

I've stayed in enough "hotels" for two lifetimes. Sue's Mt Cotton Retreat was exactly what I was looking for... A small collection of "cabins" in a quiet setting which felt like a "home" rather than a hotel. Check-in was complicated only by my email transferring Sue's communication to a junk folder but once we were checked in it was an overall excellent experience. Spacious, comfortable, beautiful view of the forest, HOT WATER with a showerhead more than 6' high (one foot about the obvious-world-standard for showerhead heights), etc. (If you're a light sleeper bring earplugs as you can hear some traffic from the nearby road - but not enough to be a bother.) I cannot say enough positive things about this stay. We will definitely be back... (The only tense moment was (while speaking to my wife on a video call) when a rabid? Kookaburra slammed into the sliding glass door as I walked toward it at night nearly causing me to, errrrr, faint. He flew through the screened-in porch and could not escape.) Only suggestion I would have would be to install dehumidifiers or a clothing dryer as the humidity made it impossible to dry towels, etc.

Beautiful scenic location deep in Australian native bush, while only a short drive from Brisbane city. Comfortable room with a peaceful relaxing outlook to tree tops and gentle bird calls. A wonderful place!

This is a beautiful retreat. The friendly service was such a pleasure. The Pavilion by the lake was superlative! I'd rate it higher than a mere five stars!

The location was nice with a balcony overlooking the forest. We were quite comfortable and enjoyed our stay. We loved the birds in the area. There was a slightly odd scent to the building when we arrived, but our room was fine.

Wonderful property in a nice bush setting. The hostess was also a lovely person and served a marvellous breakfast. Cannot recommend this Retreat highly enough.

The staff were absolutely lovely. The place could probably use a bit of TLC (smelt a tiny bit old) but other than that it was fantastic and would happily stay again.
