Great Hotel

Great hotel close to the highway
We traveled from Provence to The Netherlands and this hotel was perfect to stay overnight! The check in was quick, the staff were friendly, the room was great, and the location was just perfect.

The hotel is not in Metz but Talange. Our room was comfortable, the air conditioning worked well and quietly! An ideal stopover, food at the restaurant was well prepared. The staff were extremely helpful. This is ideal as a stopover, we didn’t have the opportunity to explore.

Excellent stopover option
An excellent choice for our stopover. Just off the Autoroute in a business area (visible from the A31). Modern with quality fittings. Free parking in secure gated area. Restaurant was good. Breakfast also good. Friendly and efficient people. This is a good place to wind down after a long day driving. Being close to the autoroute and outside the City makes carrying on your journey easier in the morning. Recommended.

Really nice bed!!!!
We have only stayed over night but out stay was superb. The entrance was nice the receptionist was accommodating and bi lingual. The interiors at lobby was updated. The rooms were spotless clean sheets , toiler & shower. The room smells nice. The bed was so good to sleep on.

Screw up at the Front Desk
Upon check-in, the clerk insisted we had reserved two rooms, not one. I showed him our hotels.com reservation on my phone, which clearly said "1 room," but he insisted that we pay for two. Fortunately, I had a friend with me who needed a room as his reservation was at a hotel by the same name but 10 km up the road. We contacted the other hotel and they agreed to cancel that reservation. But the front desk service at this hotel was uncooperative. Note when reserving this hotel that, incredibly, there are TWO hotels in the area called Hotel Campanile Metz Nord. This one is in Talange; the other is in another nearby town. This caused considerable confusion when friends reserved rooms at the other hotel and we reserved one here, thinking it was the same hotel. The front desk clerk said he was aware of the issue and that the confusion occurs frequently.

Great stopover.
The staff were most courteous and friendly and the rooms were clean and bed comfortable. During such a hot summer the air conditioning was a brilliant plus. The hotel's location meant that it is very convenient for access to the motorway.

A fine welcome, especially since my wife's handicap was noticed and we were given a special room. However, there was a broken chair in the room, the only chair. We were promised a replacement, which never arrived. Restaurant service was cursery and on paying the bill in the morning there was a lack of courtesy, as though clients do not matter.

The hotel itself was ok, but the location was completely different from what it said on the booking site map. We were looking to stay in the centre of Metz, but we ended up in a roadside hotel 10km from town, ruining our evening plans. Hope to get some compensation for this..

Stayed for one night on the way back to the UK. Hotel on the usual commercial site with Super U etc. not the usual standard Campanile Hotel.only a few years old and more upmarket than normal. Restaurant ok and overall a good stay.

Pleasant stop off hotel.
This Campanile is just off motorway and after a very long journey in the rain and heavy traffic from Dunkirk it was a pleasant suprise. Yes like most Campaniles it is on a business centre site with little open at night but It has its own resaturant and bar and outdoor seating area and plenty of free parking - something we missed on the rest of our holiday. The room was comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities. Our request for extra pillows and milk was dealt with efficiently as was a request to have a bin emptied which had been left by cleaning staff. We were on our way to Germany and had a good meal and refreshing sleep. Would thoroughly recommend for a stopover hotel.
