I loved this place! It is very centric- with less than a 20 minute walk to the Red Square and a 5 minute walk to the metro, pharmacy, public park about 10 coffee places and a mini mart. A short walk also to major entertainment promenades with music, shops and restaurants. There is an English Pub across from the hotel, but i couldn t visit it due to lockdown. The staff is very nice and patient with those of us who don t speak Russian ( they even made sure the taxi took me back to the proper terminal.) A breakfast buffet is provided and, as a picky eater, I was more than happy with it. They also provide basic toiletries. This was my first time in Moscow, a solo traveler and during lockdown and have to say staying here gave me peace of mind.

Clean hotel.... Perfect location near center of the city.. Restraunts ,coffee shops ,markets, malls and even pahramacy and banks and theatres are so close to the hotel... And good price... Just they need to have better breakfast menu.. ..and use better perfume for reception and breakfast place to smell better

Small and comfortable on a quiet street
Delicious breakfast, helpful staff, very easy communication over e-mails, easy check in. Central location, walking distance to many important historical sites. Would definitely book again.

Our room was outdated with really poor facilities. It smelled badly. The staff was rude and not very helpful. When asked whether the food served for breakfast was without meet (I’m vegetarian) they said yes but it turned out to be with ham. Wouldn’t stay there again!

Austere but pleasant. Excellent location; minutes from Bolshoi, Red Square, etc. on foot, and minutes from Metro. Reasonable breakfast downstairs. Air conditioning was a problem: either freezing cold or none at all.

Had a great stay - lovely staff, friendly. We had a twin room which was fine, not huge, not too small. Would have been nice to have a kettle in the room. Other than that great location and easy access to central Moscow.

Very clean with accommodating staff.
The receptionists were very helpful and accommodating. They got me a room fan as I was unable to sleep because of the heat. The hotel was very clean and tastefully decorated with a Russian twist. I would stay there again.

Average hotel
Hotel Godunov is only a 15 min walk to red square but it is located next to a road and it can be noisy in the night. Distinct lack of sleep due to the noise and heat in my room as there's no air con. A fan is provided but this is useless. You only get 2 small bottles of water for your stay. Whatever you do don't go out and leave one half full because when you return they take it away! Bordering on the worst breakfast I've had in any hotel. Minimal choice. And not particularly good. You literally sink into the bed and feel all of the springs! The room is clean though. No soap in shower. Wifi is ok. There are better hotels in Moscow for the money.

Incredible noise
The room was just above a pub with very high music till 5 am !!!!! Asking to the receptionist the answer has been "we can not do anything...we thoought to have solved the problem but it is still on". I guess is important for the peopel to know that at least during the week end is impossible to sleep !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good value well located
Super little hotel. Easy 10 minute walk to red square.local restaurants good . Staff very friendly and helpful and we're able to speak good English which is a bonus as not many people in Russia do. Breakfast buffet style with some thing for everyone, while not extensive definitely adequate. Beds comfortable, rooms clean and warm, We would recommend this hotel. Excellent value

The hotel is located in a good area. It is close to the walking street where there are many restaurants and subway access is 10 minutes away. The breakfast is not very good and the rooms are small. This is our second time there and this time we got a very small attic room and the towels were awful. The staff is very nice and speaks English.

Nice hotel in the very center of Moscow
I stayed there with my grandson. The room is rather small, but convenient, and possesses all necessary equipment. However, as I heard from other customers not all the rooms have air condition. The breakfast was reasonable, but might be better.

a summer in moscow
the hotel is definitely value for money . the room is spacious and comfortable and one is within walking distance to major tourist places , shopping area , eating places and supermarkets. there was no safe in the room and my wife's diamond earrings were stolen from the vanity case in the drawer. We had reported the incident but nothing became of it.

Could be so much better.
It's a very mixed emotion review as the service at the front desk was very poor and they nickle and dime you so much. It took 40 mins to get a key even though I was the only person in reception when I arrived. The phone kept ringing and the sole person kept not only answering it but taking lots of time talking to other people. Then two other clients turned up and he dealt with them first. He seemed new and not knowing how things worked. Don't know his name but had a red man bun. They give you one solitary bottle of water for your entire stay. If there are two guests you get two. I booked a double room but still only got one even though I asked. I also only got one towel even though I booked a double room. The rooms while clean are tiny. So is the shower but the water was hot and good pressure. The location is what makes this hotel worthwhile. It's a 15 minute walk to red square and the Kremlin. It's close to subway station but beware everything is in Russian only so subway is impossible to use easily. Close to shopping malls with good restaurants and bars. Could be so much better but I would stay again as its a good location and within my budget.

Godunov Good Enough
I stayed on the 4th floor of Hotel Godunov for two nights and the facilities were good enough for my needs. The location is a 15-minute walk to Red Square and near various vegetarian restaurants. I heard a little noise from the bar downstairs and there was only an operable skylight with no proper window, but the bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Good enough value for the price.

Close to many tourist stops.
We had a great stay at this very centrally located hotel. The staff was friendly, English speaking, and helpful. You can walk to the Kremlin in 20 minutes. There are a lot of places to eat nearby and the breakfast is adequate. The room is a little small but comfortable. We will stay there again.

Convenience & Good Value
This hotel is great value for convenience to the Metro, walking distance to the Kremlin precinct and other places of interest. The staff are very friendly, but English is limited - use of Google translator app. highly recommended. For those traveling with laptops, camera and other digital devices, be aware - there are plenty of power points but no, repeat no, international power plugs. Be sure to bring your own adapters suitable for the two pin plug device. I stayed in a Standard Room, which was small but well maintained, quiet and with a comfortable queen sized bed.

El personal fue sumamente amable. Nos dieron la habitación inmediatamente, sin costo extra por llegar antes. La ubicación es inmejorable, cerca de todo caminando. El desayuno buffet muy rico. Pueden guardar tu equipaje sin costo.

Влом хороший отель. Не понравились очереди и небольшой выбор на завтраке. Кроме этого, не весь персонал приветлив с русскими. С иностранцами общаются лучше. Но в целом за эту цену очень хороший вариант.

Le principal avantage de l'hôtel est sa proximité de deux stations de métro: Troubnaya et Kouznetski most et du centre-ville (+/-15min à pied de la Place Rouge). Le Wi-fi fonctionnait bien et la chambre était propre. Cependant l'hôtel ne vaut absolument pas ses 4 étoiles. Nous avons séjourné dans une suite ( Semi-luxe) et pourtant la garde-robe tenait à peine debout, elle était complétement cassée et de travers, étagère dans la douche rouillée et pas de coffre-fort dans la chambre alors qu'il devait y en avoir un selon la description. Le réfrigérateur était très bruyant. De plus, lors de notre séjour il y avait des travaux de voirie dans la rue dans laquelle se situe l'hôtel. Les travaux continuaient de nuit et même le dimanche ( à 1h du matin...). Si je l'avais su, je n'aurais jamais réservé cet hôtel, car nous avons très mal dormi. Petit-déjeuner correct, sans plus. Par contre la salle de petit-déjeuner inexistante, on déjeune dans le hall d'accueil , donc très peu de place...
