So-so

Posted 28-Nov-2016
Pros: The staff was friendly, the lobby coffee was good, and the breakfast bar was quite tasty and well stocked. The bed wasn't impossible to sleep in.
Cons: Cleanliness and some kind of noise reduction would go a long way to making it better.
Location: There were plenty of food options nearby.
The staff was relatively friendly and the lobby was promising. However, the upper floors were dingy. The hallways were littered and loud. Once in the room, we realized that we could hear every word of conversation spoken by our across the hall neighbors. Yikes. The bathroom seemed clean at first glance, but the the inner side of the door was speckled with urine stains as was the shower. We immediately gave the staff a heads-up about the situation and were assured it would be taken care of. It never was, and was very gross to deal with for the duration of our trip (December 2015). The noise was fairy hard to deal with as well, as it was difficult to sleep at night hearing televisions from other rooms, loud laughs, and drunken scuffling in the halls. There were no other problems really other than the cleanliness issues and noise, but I would never like to come back here again. Maybe it's better now.

Run down.

Posted 25-Nov-2016
Pros: Proximity to where I was working.
No stopper in the bathroom sink. Smoke detector kept chirping at 2:30am. Called desk and no one answered. Eventually had to move rooms. no manager or anyone that could compensate me for the inconvenice more than the $15.00 the desk clerk could offer. Will not stay here again.

Helpful staff and Good breakfast

Posted 31-Oct-2016
Pros: Awesome breakfast!
Cons: When I used the expedia site I specifically searched for hotels near the airport. It isn't. Perhaps expedia should have an option of "Airport Shuttle"
Upon arrival we found out we were "upgraded" to a King suite. We reserved and paid in advance for two queens. Because of our family size we would have preferred the two queens so at first we were disappointed and frustrated since the hotel was full with no option for reversing the "upgrade". Two of us would have to share the pull-out couch. The staff person, Jasmine, was very diligent (and patient!) to try to help us. She brought us a roll-away but then we changed our mind and she took it away. In the end we slept well and decided we really liked the King suite! Only downside was a loud water heater next to our room.

Pros: The continental breakfast was good and the breakfast staff was very friendly.
Cons: Our room door would not close unless we put the locks on. But maintenance came quickly and fixed the problem.
Location: A lot of restaurants in the area and next door to a bar/grill.
The room was nice linens were clean, but had to ask for toilet paper that wasn't in the bathroom when we checked in.

Friendliest staff, close commute

Posted 26-Sep-2016
We had a conference in Morrow, so we didn't want to stay in Downtown Atlanta. Although this hotel is south of the city, it's an easy <15 minute drive to Downtown. The staff was overwhelmingly nice and went out of their way to be helpful. They switched our room with no questions when we didn't have a bathtub in the first room they gave us. The hotel has been remodeled and is clean and well done. The pool area is nice, and there are lots of restaurants within walking distance. Thank you, Country Inn & Suites for an amazing stay!

Does the cockroach make this double-occupancy?

Posted 2-Sep-2016
Although I checked in early, and have no physical disability, I was given a room on the 1st floor meant for those with disabilities. Upon entering the room, I noticed the secondary lock was broken on the door and I could only use the deadbolt. Before showering the next morning, I attempted to locate a blowdryer as I am female with shoulder-length hair, and I was in Morrow in business. There was nothing in the room. The front desk told me to look in the cabinets under the sink. There WAS NO CABINET under the sink - only exposed pipes. She then told me to look in the closet. There was NO CLOSET; only a few hangers on a metal bar, under a mounted iron and ironing board. She then told me there were no other hair dryers she could provide. The handicapped shower had no soap dish or ledge, so any soap or shampoo had to be placed on the padded seat, and water was draining into the floor of the bathroom because there was no lip to contain it; only the shower curtain. The AC units are the old floor-style located under the window. It was loud all night, but at least the room was cool. Unfortunately, after leaving the shower, I went to retrieve my charging phone and noticed a visitor on the floor - what appeared to be a dead (?) two-inch long COCKROACH! I packed my bags immediately (which were not on the floor) and left the room. I was given a different room on the 2nd floor for the 2nd night of the pre-paid stay, which didn't have cockroaches, but old, stained carpets.
