George Hotel is a really lovely pub. Excellent food and a really nice comfortable room - with Netflix!! Great shower and nice heating for the chilly nights. We are bike packing so the lovely managers allowed us to keep our bicycles safely secured in the rear yard which was very much appreciated. We had a really yummy breakfast that sustained us for our entire day of cycling! The location, staff and food were outstanding. The breakfast was varied, hot and delicious. Our room was quite large and had a beautiful window seat and plenty of chairs so you can spend time in the room if you need a break On the downside, I was dissapointed in the hotel room based on the photos and ratings. It is very old and needs a lot of love. The room smelled like paint and the floors are oddly squishy. The bathroom felt almost industrial from long ago. Carpet felt dirty although everything else was clean. Decor was all over the place, modern vs. old and ranges from NY hip to grandmas house.
