Reasonable price
Most hotels in Montreal are over priced. Motel R-100 is old but it is well maintained. It is not a fancy hotel but the price is reasonable.

This place is quite ok for such a price. I was shocked when I learned that they have rooms for smokers. This is awesome, i think. But, 1 day some methhead though that I am her dealler and tryed to get in my room. It was not scary, i was just confused and it also was a bit funny. This place is good for poor smoking travellers, 4/5

The hotel is certainly showing its age and looks very 70's inside and out. The walls are also quite thin, so I'll leave it to your imagination how much fun it is to have active neighbors. With that said, it was still quite clean and the staff were friendly. There's not a terrible lot to do in the area and the traffic's a nightmare for getting in and out, but there are places to eat within walking distance. For how inexpensive the stay is overall compared to many spots in the region, it's hard to be too critical.

By far the worst place I've ever seen.
By far the worst place I've ever seen. Very old and has not been updated or cleaned for a very long time. I was in places that smelled bad and I was forced to use sleeping bags, but here the smell was at a different level, and really could not. Cigaret burns on the sheet, which turned yellowish. Stains on the bed sheets and the police were dealing with some 'stuffs' few rooms near us and from all of that I must conclude: it looked like they rented rooms for a short time... and I can bet they do not change bed sheets or clean the rooms before to rent it again... (this is from what I saw at the time we check-in, I do not have others information than that) We booked 2 nights, and shortly after check-in, when we saw how bad it was we asked to check out and leave. I was told you will get a refund tomorrow at 8 am... I wondered why not right now so I contacted hotel.com for help. I was reassured I would get a night refund. Next morning surprise I got only a partial refund. The partial refund was pending for 3 days and maybe the worst was when on the 3rd day the refund was canceled. Luckily I saved the check-in receipt (when I was charged "by mistake" more than supposed) and the refund receipt so I was able and forced to dispute the refund with my credit card. I got my partial refund, but I never never had such a bad experience. When I said a partial refund I referred to a part of the second night fee, without deposit or the extra amount which I was by 'mistake' charged extra...

LOOKS NOTHING LIKE THE PICTURES!!! In a very unsafe area Was disgusting!!! We walked in and you could tell it wasn’t clean. The air felt dirty!!!!

Overall, it’s a quiet facility however very far from business activity. Came with my car, however, access to public transport from this location is complicated as there’s so much construction happening around. When you’re coming back to the motel after 8pm, get your own food from town otherwise, you’re not going to get any food business around.

Terrible service from reception. Right after 15 minutes of check in. Guy(hotel server) knocking a door and asking something, couldn’t understand because of his language barrier. Anyway, he tried few keys on door and than went away. He came inside with boots and active cigarettes in hand. Terrible. Wouldn’t recommend. I guess better to sleep in your car if you don’t have money.
