This was the cleanest hostel room I've ever stayed at. I slept in a six bed room, which included one bathroom with a shower as well as a desk. Everything was functional. Each bed had curtains, a cubby, power plugs that worked, lockers, a light, even a rack to hang clothes. The bunk beds were nice and didn't creak. There are additional showers on each floor but I couldn't find additional toilets which is unfortunate.
It is a big hostel and as such it's not quite as easy to meet new people as other hostels. I appreciate they have some day activities to help with that.
The bar downstairs is a nice space, and it is the place that I would run into people.
The rooftop jacuzzi was neat. We couldn't totally figure out how it worked but it was functional. Nice way to relax after a lot of walking.
In addition, there is a large kitchen and dining area, an area that seems to be catered towards people who want to work on a laptop, and at the end of the lobby is another mini-kitchen with a place that sells breakfast, and seating area.
Overall I liked my time in this hostel as a home base for exploring Montreal!
