Great location if you wanna be located downtown! Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was great, but no fridge so keep that in mind. Air conditioner was a bit loud, but kept room very nice and cool when it was hot outside.

The very limited breakfasts was not impressive and all the flies in the area was quite gross, we left early to have breakfast elsewhere, even if breakfast was included. There was fruit flies in the room, unsure where they were coming from. The rooms itself were clean. Excellent service from the front desk.

This was a great place to stay because it was right in the middle of the Jazz Festival, a minute from all the venues. It was clean and comfortable and very affordable.

The staff at breakfast dining is rude! When we checked in, the front desk staff informed us that the breakfast is between 7-10 am and it is self service. Next morning at 7:20 AM, we went down to the dining and the french doors were closed. We open the door on the left and it was open and food were ready. We started to get food and this dining staff came in and she said, "the door is close". My wife told the staff, "I thought the breakfast starts at 7AM." The staff insist, "but the door is close". That moment, she was rude! Past 7:30 AM and she opened the doors without welcoming or informing the guests. I entered the dining area and asked her "is it open now", she replied "what do you think?" And raising her hands. I told her, "I am asking politely and you are always rude since this morning. It is our first morning here and we are trying to figure out everything." That staff needs to learn proper communication with their guests. If breakfast starts at 7AM, it should start on time! Or if not, be nice with guests waiting outside. You don't need to get rude everytime you make a conversation. The hotel is good for the price and location. But in general, I read so much bad reviews about staffs but during our stay there, that old lady staff on the dining was always rude. We just ate out breakfast on our first morning but we never eat breakfast again during the length our stay. We don't want to eat breakfast seeing a rude person especially early in the morning!

Very unique hotel. Lots of stairs. We had been on a cruise, lots of luggage, no elevator. We managed but was difficult. At check in, the front desk was very acccomodating for a special request. Breakfast was cereal, toast, fresh fruit, juice, and coffee. Room was clean. Had a Superior room, which meant we had a private bathroom. Beds were ok, flat pillows. Do wish there was some kind of shelving in bathroom. Nowhere to put your toiletries. Another desk person arranged a ride to airport for us. Requested an uber, he ordered a taxi. We got there on time but know we paid more than double for the ride. Good location on Ste Catherine. Lots of shopping, restaurants, and sites to see nearby.

Great area to be in, hotel is kinda old and crappy, although it’s very clean,Besides the hallways smelling strange. Even though it’s on a busy street there’s almost no sound in the rooms so it has very good windows /insulation. There no elevator so be prepared for some stairs. Long staircase to get up to the hotel then a bunch more stairs to my room. Looks like the place was probably some kind of student dorm housing or something that’s been turned into a hotel. Overall it was a good stay, I just wouldn’t wanna pay as much as I did again for it for what it is.

The Hotel needs to invest in lifts. Change carpets in the lobby area too as it looks really wornout. The entrance to the hotel leaves lots to be desired. It has a strange smell and the entrance jus needs a bit more attention.

Initially we were very put off by the location (there’s a sex shop/erotika adjacent to the entrance to the hotel). Discovered that the location is good in terms of public transportation because the metro and bus are very close. Place de Artes is right there. I think this “hotel” is more the caliber of a hostel. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Continental breakfast was literally bread to toast and cereal; it was more limited than even a typical continental breakfast. Room was basic, cozy. The shower had pink mold and the floor needed a good cleaning (bottom of my feet were almost black after walking barefoot). AC unit was very loud! Towels were thin. If you’re on a budget, we recommend, but likely wouldn’t stay here again.

Our stay was an adventure. There was a power outage and a 5am fire alarm, but we had tons of fun despite that. The location is incredible for walking to just about anything you need. The air conditioner in the room kept everything comfy through some very warm weather.
