Excellent hotel

Posted 12-Feb-2018
I was really impressed by this hotel. It was one of the more affordable options for the time we were going to Montreal. The hotel itself is a bit outdated but very well kept up. The staff are wonderful and very helpful. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Its a bit farther away from most of th touristy things things, but very close to McGill University. Walls are a tad bit thin and we could hear people in the hallways every now and then. All in all, I would definitely return.

Great location. Decent room.

Posted 7-Jan-2018
Pros: Friendly staff. Good location. Heat worked very well - it was -21 without the wind chill while we were there.
Cons: While it's clear that it's not a newer hotel generally the room seemed well maintained. There were some stains near the toilet.
Location: Two blocks north of rue Sainte Catherine.
The hotel staff are very professional. The room was clean enough though there were some stains in the bathroom. The bed could have been firmer but overall the hotel is good value for money.

Great base for Exploring the City

Posted 4-Jan-2018
Pros: The location, the size of the room, the updated furnishings.
Cons: It would help if there was a continental breakfast included, coffee or snacks available.
Location: Centrally located in Montreal next to the McGill campus. We were able to walk or take the metro to all attractions in the city.
Our hotel room was spacious and updated. It is very centrally located for exploring Montreal. The coffee maker was missing from our room. We were happy to have a fridge. Overall, we were happy with our stay.

Great location, huge rooms

Posted 2-Jan-2018
Pros: Room size, cafe
Cons: The only drawback is the valet parking, the cost was equivalent to other downtown parking, but it's a minor inconvenience. Phone not working.
Location: Shopping, museums
The hotel is conveniently located downtown, walking distance to museums and indoor shopping district, so even during cold spell you don't have to spend much time outside. Based on small lobby, tiny elevator and narrow hallways I expected the rooms to be small, but they were huge as compared to other hotels of the same category in Montreal and I stayed in many of them. There is a neat cafe and a restaurant in the lobby and the lobby actually expands to the left, offering quiet area to sit and read. I would definitely stay again.
