"Excellent staff, especially Estefan at the front desk. Very friendly and very helpful. Great location near the Cloud Forest Monteverde. Only a 10 min walk. Room showed its age a bit, but was very comfortable and had a great view."

"We only stayed one night in between La Fortuna and Tamarindo but we’re glad we did! Although there were families there with children, everyone seemed to understand that we were in a beautiful place and there was just a happy serene vibe to the bar/restaurant overlooking the gardens, overlooking a lovely view. As Vegans we chose this place partly for the vegan food where there were a few options which were good. The kitchen also ensured that our breakfast was suitably veganised! We walked the trails ourselves and these are well signposted and a clear map as to where the viewpoints are etc. The map also highlighted “harder” bits but this really just referred to lots of steps which most people would be able to cope with quite easily. We did the night walk which was well organised. (4 guides so there was only a small group with each guide). It was actually someone in our group who saw the scorpions and the tarantula on the trail; but our guide was delightful and we all felt quite safe and saw a snake and armadillo too which was cool. The tarantula hawk wasp was also a scary creature to meet, but we all survived! It is an easy walk into town and short albeit steep uphill walk back. We would recommend this hotel in a heart beat and wished we could have stayed longer. The room itself was fine, clean, bed comfortable, shower decent."

"Great, friendly staff. Beautiful grounds, including their own nature trail. Great view of surrounding mountains and calories from an expansive balcony that is used for the breakfast area as well as for lounging. It overlooks a small garden where you are guaranteed to see lots of hummingbirds. The furnishings are a bit old but everything is clean and tidy. Our room had its own private balcony. "

"Emilio at the front desk was very helpful. I did not get the name of the morning waitress at the restaurant, but she is definitely bringing a good and cheerful vibe to your morning even if you are in a hurry. Very comfortable beds and settings. We would recommend this place."

"Our family of 4 had a wonderful stay here. It was a beautiful property with a nice path through their gardens and some wilderness, that was home to a variety of singing birds. They have a fire pit with marshmallows our kids enjoyed roasting. Service was spectacular and every worked was very friendly. Breakfast was yummy too. It’s just a couple minute walk to a nice grocery store (to fill up the fridge they give you for the room), many restaurants, and a bakery if your heart desires. We would definitely come back. "

"We had a wonderful stay! Everyone was so nice. We were greeted with a lovely lemonade and ginger drink. The grounds are well manicured with beautiful flowers and fountains. We ate at the restaurant for dinner and breakfast and the food was great. The rooms are clean. They are not air conditioned, but it gets cool at night and we were comfortable. "
