On one side it was built on a large tabernacle of 1700 which was removed for the renovation of the villa. It is located in one of the quieter areas of the area on top of a hill surrounded by a ring of hills around. The villa has a very fast and easy access to central Florence, which is 20 km away. Thanks to its location and the many trees around the villa, the place and the interior are fresh, so when you come back from a day trip around Tuscany you can cool off and relax while enjoying the tranquil Tuscan countryside. Surrounded by olive groves and vineyards, the villa is in a panoramic position and offers a magnificent view over the Tuscan countryside extending as far as the eye can see. It has 9 double rooms and 1 double room with an extra single bed (3 on the ground floor 3 on the first floor and 4 on the second floor) and 9 bathrooms (each with shower, bidet, toilet). On the ground floor there is the largest apartment. With three independent entrances and direct access to the garden, a large dining room where comfortably 30 people and a large fitted kitchen where guests usually cook for the whole group. In the garden in the shade of large trees, there are two gazebos equipped with tables and chairs for eating outdoors. This is a lovely, rustic Italian villa. It is not a luxury hotel so expectations should be managed. It is a great villa in a fantastic location. The villa is broken up into different apartments so everybody had their own space but the ground floor apartment has a large dining area, kitchen, and a couple couches where we could all spend time together. We were a group of 19 adults and children and all were very pleased with the accommodations. The pool was a welcome refuge from the record heat wave that was hitting Italy while we were there. People in our group did excursions to Florence, San Gimignano, Lucca, or even Rome via the high speed train out of Florence. I couldn't have asked for a better vacation. Sergio and his family were wonderful. He was very accommodating and helpful whenever anybody asked for something. He also put us in touch with a cook named Loradana who exceeded all expectations with the two meals she did for us. She was lovely. So much delicious food and a chocolate ricotta birthday cake to top it all off. Thank you to Sergio and Loradana for helping to make such wonderful memories for us. ##### Karey G.
