I visited this property during Monterey Car Week when even the Motel 6 is a $600 a night investment. The motel has a very convenient location and the staff was great with 24 hour per day on site security ensuring that the place was as safe as possible. With all that said, the rooms are outdated and a bit worn, though relatively clean. During MCW, I have stayed at places running the entire gamut from $1800 a night to motels like this. Overall, I think the value was great and I would recommend this during those high leverage occasions when the budget doesn't permit spending several thousands of dollars for what is a bed for a few hours a night. Where do I begin. Patch job walls with no paint, Holes in floor, wouldn’t dare take a shower in the moldy shower (I don’t know if I am up to date on all of my vaccines). Sheet’s were clean. Staff was nice but that didn’t make up for the lack of maintenance to the room. This motel is actually inhabited by some longer term guests. The guy in the next room went back and forth between making phone calls and watching TV, both at max volume until 4am. We had to walk to Walgreens for earplugs. Everything is dirty or stained, from floor to ceiling including the linens and towels. Those are the things that were important to me (a quiet place to sleep and a clean atmosphere). As for the things less important, but equally as terrible- TV color all yellow, no cups in the room, no ice machine. Woke up to a fire truck and ambulance at 5am. Glad they were there to help someone struggling, hope he’s okay. This is what you get when you find the cheapest hotel on the booking site don’t expect the embassy. But it’s a family run operation and the staff is super friendly.
