If you love good wine, or if you wish to discover it, you can't miss the appointment with the Nobile di Montepulciano, there are tastings at a good price in the countless ancient cellars of the city. Far enough away for peace and quiet, yet close enough to go to the grocery store and into Montepulciano. Frank and Silva, the owners were a delight. They didn't speak much english, but we laughed every morning with them. Frank makes his own wine from the on property vineyard and Silva makes handbags and jams. Frank wine is as good as any other in Italy. And so much less money!!! Their home and grounds are beautiful. We were three couples and had plenty of space. The surroundings were beautiful and the hosts who only spoke Italian were absolutely lovely. We were about 15 minutes from Montepuciano in a quiet farm area. Spartanische küche, da nichts im Haus enthalten ist, auch kein Salz oder Pfeffer oder vielleicht eine Seife für die Hände. Die Gastgeber sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit, jedoch sind diese auch jeden Morgen am Haus um die Beete und Felder zu begutachten und zu pflegen. Hat uns nicht gestört, aber wer früh gerne alleine in den Pool möchte, hat hier eher schlechte Karten. Dafür wurde uns allerdings auch ein eigen gebackener Kuchen gebracht und ein super Gewürz für Fleisch. Ebenfalls wurde uns ein wunderschönes Fest im Ort empfohlen, welches wir gerne besucht haben. Gastgeber verkaufen auch eigenen Rotwein für kleines Geld und für etwas mehr auch sehr sehr gutes Olivenöl aus eigener Herstellung. Wer kein italienisch spricht, sollte eine übersetzungsapp immer zur Hand haben, da die Eigentümer nichts anderes sprechen. Rundum sehr schöner Urlaub und wir kommen gerne wieder. ##### Cathleen K.
