Super 8 Sainte Agathe Des Monts

"Great for families!"
Friendly, check in was fast, rooms have been remodeled, nice, comfortable, fridge and microwave are convenient, really enjoyed for the price. what should be improved: -Ventilation by the pool, very strong chlorine smell, hard for the eyes, and children coughing constantly -Games in pool: we had to ask front desk attendant to turn the water on, even if she could see by herself the place was full of kids...! why did we have to ask? -Breakfast: the young lady started putting away the food 10 minutes before 10:00, she left with the eggs and fruits, she was going to turn off the waffle machines... I had to tell her we were not done...she never brought back the eggs or fruits...too bad that's what I wanted! we should not have to stress having breakfast, we were told that it was until 10:00 am when we checked in! That makes customers feel bad. And we paid for that! Frustrating.

"Our regular winter getaway"
I understand the complaints about the hotel not being “up to standard”. Yes, the bathtubs are probably from the time when Eisenhower was president, and yes, the hallways are a bit dingy. But you have to consider the fact that this is ultimately a log cabin. It comes with constraints in terms of what can be replaced or updated. Cutting out beams to make room for larger bathrooms might actually endanger the entire structure. So if you are looking for modern luxury all the way, then Chateau Montebello might not be the place to go. So let’s look at the upsides: The service level is impeccable. Most of the staff are locals and have been with the hotel for a long time. One of the bellhops I’d recognize in the streets, we’ve seen him so many times. The service staff in the restaurants is throughout attentive and friendly. All trough the seven times that we’ve been there we’ve never had a reason to complain about the people working there. The food in the main restaurant is of high quality and the menu is outstanding. The wine list boasts many private imports, some of them maybe a bit on the pricy side. The bistro in the basement is a nice option in case a multi-course dinner is a bit too much. Live music in the evening (or the hockey game on big screen) can also be found there. We love the spa pavilion at which we book treatments each time. Compliments to the staff there as well, both on personal and professional level.

"GREAT hotel, just a bit of a drive to Montreal"
We had such a great experience at this hotel. It was clean, the rooms were big and comfortable, and the garden on the lake was beautiful. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. Very nice hotel just a bit too far out if you're trying to spend time in Montreal. The traffic in Montreal is worse than we predicted so the 30 minute drive we expected turned into 45 min or more. Vadreuil is kind of a cool place and my favorite spot was the Cafe XO.

"New Year'a Getaway"
Close proximity to snowshoeing, which was great for us. Loved the spa, hot tub facilities. Nice sauna. Very attentive staff. Good choice of restaurants in town. Location was near a number of ski hills. Overall, a pleasant stay and not noisy over New Year's Eve!
