It is quietly located in a hamlet of 5 houses, at 2 km from Montcuq-en-Quercy Blanc, a Medieval village where you will find all kind of shops, supermarkets, cafes and restaurants, rental electrical bikes shop, municipal lake designed for swimming and fishing with supervised white sand beach and water games in summer. The house includes an equipped kitchen, a living-dining room with fireplace, SmartTV and DVD, free WIFI, a double bedroom with ensuite shower room and WC, a bedroom with 2 single beds which can be converted into a King size bed on demand, an independant bathroom and WC, a large attic bedroom (please note that we can not stand everywhere because it is an attic room) 2 single beds there, a WC and washbasin. Access to this 3rd bedroom is via a steep staircase. You can enjoy the swimming pool and the covered terrace (with Professionnal gas plancha) and if the weather is too cool, you can try the Nordic bath ! It's a unique way to relax in the middle of nature, to the sound of the burning fire (the water is heated by a wood stove inside the bath). Enjoy the silence of nature, only the songs of the birds accompany you in this magical experience. A Nordic bath is included in your rental but for repeated use over several days, an additional 70 euros will be requested for participation in wood costs. Wild garden of 8000 m2 adjoining and near the kitchen, thyme and rosemary available to cook good meals. In summer you can taste figs and peaches (all organic of course) from our garden, you just have to pick it up! And for fun: badminton court, table tennis, books, games. Also, being a teacher of Hatha Yoga, member of the FNPY, I can give you a private lesson : we will practice on the terrace (course to be paid on site). You will also have the opportunity to book a massage at the Les Fées Zen Beauty Institute in Montcuq, 2km away.(10% discount if you go through me) Staying at La Bastide de Couvinens also means experimenting with ecological gestures: our towels are made of organic cotton, our cleaning products are organic whenever possible and we encourage you to compost. The children loved the pool and the pool area has lots of different areas both shaded and in the sunshine. We loved sitting out with a drink in the evening, listening to the sounds of nature and nothing else. So peaceful. The accommodation is very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped, the showers have good pressure and hot water and the living area is cosy with Netflix etc on the tv plus a lot of dvds to choose from. The owner, Valerie, is attentive and quick to respond but otherwise left us alone to enjoy our holiday. We have had a wonderful time and would recommend this accommodation to anyone wishing to experience the peace and quiet of rural life in a beautiful area of France. The location was amazing, we did a lot of hikes and villages visits. Das Haus hat all unseren Erwartungen entsprochen und diese sogar übertroffen. Es ist sehr gemütlich eingerichtet, so dass man sich vom ersten Moment an wie zuhause fühlen konnte. Der Pool selbst ist groß, erfrischend und einladend so wie der gesamte Poolbereich selbst. Im Außenbereich gibt es auch mehrere Tisch - und Sitzgelegenheiten, so dass man je nach Tageszeit oder Wetterlage bei entsprechenden Temperaturen immer draußen sitzen und abends auch den fantastischen Sternenhimmel genießen kann. Die Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin, Valerie, war absolut unkompliziert und überaus freundlich und zuvorkommend. Alles in allem also ein perfekter Urlaub, vielen Dank dafür! ##### Anette B. Das Haus ist sehr urig, aber mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht. Die Aussenanlage ist toll. Wir waren mit unseren zwei Teanager-Kindern und unserem Hund dort. Wir haben sowohl den Pool als auch das Nordic Bath sehr gerne benutzt. Fast jeden Tag. Des Weiteren haben wir auch jeden Tag Tischtennis gespielt. Es war sehr schön. Die Vermieterin Valerie ist sehr nett. Sie hat uns beim ersten Mal das Nordic Bath heiss gemacht. In den folgenden Tagen haben wir es selber aufgeheizt. Sie hat es uns aber gezeigt und erklärt, wie es geht. Desweiteren hat sie uns jederzeit ihre Hilfe angeboten. Außerdem hat sie uns mit Informationen versorgt, was in der Umgebung so passiert, z.B. der Markt in Montcouq Sonntags. Es war insgesamt sehr schön und entspannend. ##### Elisabeth K. Some great mountain bike and hiking routes close by. The owner, Valérie, was most helpful throughout our 3 week stay and communication with her was excellent. Highly recommended. ##### Jimmy P. Valérie is a very diligent and helpful host: available if needed but otherwise happy to leave guests free to enjoy themselves. The temperature was hot (over 35C the whole week) but we managed to explore the local area on foot and visit Cahors by car. The large pool was understandably very welcome but the outdoor space in general is perfect for al fresco dining. Montcuq (around 25 minutes walk away) is a nice village with cafés and a helpful Information Centre. One tip: the local supermarket is quite basic so best to shop in a larger town for more choice. Perfekter Ort zur erholung von Körper und Seele. Das Objekt hat unsere Erwartungen voll und ganz erfüllt. Selbst bei hohen Außentemparaturen bleibt das Haus angenehm kühl. Der nächste Ort ist in 30 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Die Gastgeberin war zu jeder Zeit erreichbar und stets hilfsbereit und freundlich.
