Privileged location, bordering the golf course and the landscaped Maugrand park & its two ponds (developed over 180ha for walking, leisure & sports / museum trail, play areas for children, animal farm with llamas, peacocks, sheep. ..), very close to the lakes which surround the city including the large Plessis pond, a literal "green lung" nestled on the edge of a vast preserved forest. A stone's throw from the peaceful surrounding Creusetine countryside, combining gentle mountains, hilly bocage, rivers & large fish-filled lakes and ponds. Rich in a rare industrial heritage that it has been able to promote (perfectly preserved remains to be discovered on site and a mining museum allowing you to visit original authentic galleries!), Montceaux has since completely converted to recreational sports activities, of nature & culture - by transforming the quarries of its former mining parks into lakes & landscaped parks - and today offers 280 hectares of green spaces, true havens of peace & rest.
