The ancient "Trullo delle Fate Fuffe", dating back to the 19th century, is part of a property that extends for about one hectare among olive trees, cherry trees and a cool old oak forest and is presented in its original structure with 7 cones and with an area of over 150 square meters. Equipped with large outdoor spaces and a pergola where you can eat during the summer, the trullo has 3 bedrooms (one double and two singles), and 1 annexe with 2 beds, 2 bathrooms, 1 kitchen and 1 living room . The trulli are immersed in biodiversity as proposed by the farmers of the last century who planted olive trees (of which you will taste the oil), cherry trees, fig trees, pomegranate trees apple, quince and almond trees. The trullo has been recently renovated according to the standards of a modern home, respecting the ultra-centennial architecture of the trullo and the ornamental style of the characteristic Alberobello area with the addition of typical Mediterranean furnishings: restored traditional peasant furniture, sofas in masonry with cushions, kitchen equipped with every comfort (dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, Grottaglie ceramic services, tasting glasses), masonry bathrooms decorated with Vietri tiles from the Amalfi Coast. Tap water can be used for washing and cooking but for drinking we provide bottled drinking water. The property has a natural gas heating system. Lots of space, options to sit outsite, a truly original feeling of the house. The only missers was that it was on the VRBO website it was stated to be 0.2 km from the Monopoli Catherdral. Total relaxation in the quiet calm of the local olive grove, and lots of fresh herbs from the garden and lots of wildlife close at hand. We were just a bit early for the pomegranates. Lovely decorated, lots of character. A fantastic rural setting to enjoy peace and tranquility. Located relatively closed to most major attactions, but note that a car is required to move around. Easy check in process and communication with property manager Mariafranca. Rated description as 4 due to the fact that listing doesn't say that an additonal daily cost of EUR 30 is charge if heating is requested (we didn't need it for end of October booking). There is a lot of space and places to sit inside and outside. It is a nice place to have some relaxing days with the opportunity to visit some beautiful villages oder the beaches. You definitely need a car to get around, do your groceries, but its worth it. In the description it is not so clear how many beds and rooms are available. This traditional trulli set in a grove of olives and an orchard of cherries was amazing. Friendly greeter had left the house clean and sparkling. One note, this is a country house property with short drives to local sites and restaurants. That being said you should come stocked with groceries for your stay. Basics were already at the house, as well as a nice welcome basket, there is a local well stock market about 10 minutes away down charming rock lined lanes. Car or bicycle is needed. An alert to tall guests, some doorways ar shorter than 6’ and most or just about 6’2”, practice ducking! One comfortable double/queen bed, all the rest ar small singles. Truly only two negatives: printed instructions on the clothes washing machine, missing the dryer cycle, and the bedding needed to be updated… single mattress need replacing, a futon is not comfortable for long. Ook de buitenruimte is aangenaam om in te vertoeven, met de verschillende terrassen,op een aanzienlijk domein. Met als pluspunt de jacuzzi met mooi uitzicht. Ideaal voor iemand die in alle rust zijn vakantie wil doorbrengen. Situé tout près de superbes sites touristiques incontournables des Pouilles. Le bemol: nous y étions un peu tôt dns la saison et n'avons pas pu profiter des extérieurs et du coup le gite manquait un peu de confort. Il est plus fait pour une famille que pour un sejour entre amis ( nous étions 6).Attention difficulté d'accès lavec un ford 9 places (véhicule particulièrement long). ##### Marie Claude C.
