Le Monêtier-les-Bains is a charming village in the French Alps, in the Hautes-Alpes department to be precise. Nestled at an altitude of around 1,500 meters, it is part of the famous Serre Chevalier ski resort, making it a popular destination for winter sports enthusiasts. The village has a rich history and retains much of its traditional Alpine character. The architecture consists mainly of rustic wooden chalets and stone buildings, giving Monêtier-les-Bains a picturesque, authentic atmosphere. One of the main attractions of Le Monêtier-les-Bains is its natural thermal springs, renowned for their healing properties since ancient times. Visitors can indulge in relaxation and wellness activities at the thermal baths, which offer a range of treatments and thermal pools. During the winter months, Le Monêtier-les-Bains is transformed into a winter wonderland. The Serre Chevalier ski area offers over 250 kilometers of pistes, for all levels of skier and snowboarder. Thanks to its high altitude, the village enjoys excellent snow conditions, attracting winter sports enthusiasts from near and far. In addition to skiing and snowboarding, Le Monêtier-les-Bains offers a variety of other winter activities, including snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and ice skating.
