Plenty of toiletries, breakfast provisions of fresh local fare, the pot belly stove was well stocked, electric blankets on the beds and a super friendly host to introduce us to the property then left us alone. Perfect! Add to that the gorgeous dogs to make you feel at home, plenty of local wildlife around and a coffee pod machine in the kitchen made it the perfect stay. My only regret is only booking 2 nights otherwise we could have really leaned into our stay. Would love to return for longer next time. Only 1.15 hours from Cradle Mountain. Property was absolutely beautiful and our hosts were amazing and so friendly. Loved hearing about the history of the property and especially thankful for the delicious local produce provided (such a wonderful surprise). The Hobbit Cottage was just gorgeous and we loved having a fire at night (it was cold enough for us Queenslanders!). We stayed in an Ariel cottage with the spa on the deck. It was private and the spa was preheated for our afternoon arrival. Fresh farm eggs and bread. Fireplace was amazing. Bed was super comfortable. Incredible views to wake up and fall asleep to. Shane was welcoming, personable, informative and helpful. Easy access to Cradle Mountain. Highly recommended for a weekend getaway, special occasion or base to explore tge region. It’s very quiet and safe and I would definitely recommend this cottage for anyone looking to unwind and relax. I will definitely come here again. The woodfire heater made it extra snug, and the setting was absolutely beautiful with rolling views and friendly alpacas, sheep, and chickens just outside. The welcome breakfast pack was a thoughtful touch, with fresh locally sourced bread, milk, juice, eggs, and bacon. The kitchen was fully equipped, and having basic condiments already stocked made things super easy. The three farm dogs were an unexpected delight—welcoming us warmly and happily joining us on our walks. Communication with the hosts was quick and easy, and everything felt well-organized and relaxed.
