Cozy Cabin on the Lake

Access all the Keweenaw Peninsula has to offer from this quiet inland lakefront property on Lake Bailey. Whether it's a day trip along the shores of Lake Superior, a hike up Mt Baldy, skiing the slopes of Mt Bohemia, mountain biking in Copper Harbor or riding the snowmobile and ATV trails, this is the perfect location for your home away from home.
As soon as you pull into the circle driveway, you can let the stress of the world fade away. Enjoy the tranquility of this property with its natural landscape, frequent wildlife and fantastic views through the floor to ceiling windows in the vaulted Living Room, from the Kitchen/Dining Area, wrap around deck or off the dock.
Main floor has an open concept floorplan, complete with Living Room (futon), Kitchen/Dining Area, Bedroom (full) and full Bath. Master suite (queen) is located in the open Loft with its own full Bath. Lower level includes a Family Room/TV area, additional sleeping options (full) and walk out to ground level lakeside. All linens (towels & sheets) are provided. Kitchen has gas cooktop, oven, microwave and refrigerator, plus some basics.
Lake Bailey is a shallow 205 acre lake with an island. Lake is suitable for fishing, kayaking or canoeing. Public boat access at the north end of the lake. Perch and Northern Pike can be found in Lake Bailey.
In the evening, sit around the bonfire, roast some marshmallows and listen to the sounds of nature. Home does not currently offer WiFi to allow for you to decompress, relax and appreciate what is all around you.

We loved our stay. It was truly a 10/10 experience. It was very snowy when we arrived late, and everything was already plowed and shoveled, which made getting in easy.The place was perfect for a winter trip. We went skiing and appreciated all the thoughtful touches like the boot heaters, wood burning stove, and heated fans in the bathrooms. The home was beautiful in the winter and very comfortable!

The property worked extremely well for our family of four. There is a basement we didn’t use with another queen and single beds. The house could fit another family easily. The view from the kitchen table and living room windows with wood fireplace is amazing. We skied mount Bohemia everyday and ate out at Eagle Harbor Inn one of nights which was a fantastic place close to the property. The host Dara was very easy to communicate with and we had a great experience at this property.

We had a wonderful visit to the Keeweenaw. This home had everything we needed and the location was terrific, as it was about halfway between Eagle River and copper Harbor. The Lookout on Brockway mountain is spectacular for sunsets. Thanks for sharing your home with us!

The property is indeed a cozy cabin on a lake. Lovely setting-- wish we had more time to take the kayaks out on Lake Bailey. The cabin was about halfway between Eagle Harbor and Copper Harbor, so it was easy and quick to get to either place for meals or the outfitters for kayaking on Lake Superior-- and that was a superior experience! The house itself was very clean and very comfortable-- plenty of space, kitchen well-equipped (though we were all glad to have a vacation from cooking. Only one wish-- more reading lamps in the living room-- we did find one in a closet and made good use of it. Would love to return for a longer stay.

We loved this property so much! Easy check in and great communication with thr host! Dara even sent a message that the cabin was ready before our check in time. We traveled with our dogs, and found a tennis ball and kennel waiting for us.The pictures online don't do this place justice. The lake was absolutely gorgeous! We took the kayaks out for a sunset float, and it was amazing! The dock on the lake provides a perfect spot for stargazing! It was spectacular!! We had a couple of cold nights and really enjoyed the wood burning stove as well. Thank you so much for a wonderful place to unwind! We would love to stay here again!

Temperamental key pad. Storm door would not stay open to full position to move in luggage. Slow response on return phone calls. Not all wall receptacles worked. Tv needs directions. No end tables to set a drink or plate. Has boat and kayaks,but no rope to pull out of water and up the hill.

Lake Bailey is Awesome

We had an amazing time. The house was spacious and well appointed (games, DVDs, cooking supplies, cell phone for communication, pillows/blankets, etc.). Dara was very accessible for questions via the provided phone. All that said, the star of the show was the lake. The view across to the bluff was stunning. We spent a good amount of time sitting at the dock with rods cast, and ended up pulling in some nice perch and northerns (which we put back for future guests :-) ). Surprisingly, in the two days we were there (probably a function of being there in May), we literally didn't see anyone else on the lake and appreciated the tranquility.
