Had to switch rooms because door wasn’t working to the room we were suppose to be in. Door on other room was hard to open.. Tub was dirty and barely drained.. Breakfast was horrible, food was cold.. Would not recommend this hotel!!😩

This is an old property but could be gem PROPER REPAIR. I called ahead and was told they would make sure I had a working fridge and microwave. They assured me they would make sure that all was work. Welt NOT. Asked again the day after arrival assured again still NOT. NO hotwater in our room, missing light bulbs and faulty electric plug ins. And for some reason we had a handicap room. The ac and heat was up to the ceiling. Without a way to adjust without climbing on the shower chair. TV remote was basically dead and most channels were fuzzy or no sound. Not worth the $200 for 2 nights. fridge and They assures me that I would yup not .

Very unsafe. An unhoused person was sleeping in our room then they moved us to another room that was filthy w/ no sheets or blanket and grey matress. Then switched to a room w/ no lock. They did say they would refund our money.

we needed a cheap option for my daughter's dance competion at the civic center. the hotel staff was friendly & helpful with the issues we had. only 2 outlets worked, the tv only had 1 channel that picked up & it was a roomba commercial, had to use our cell phones to call front desk, no toilet paper in the bathroom and the floors were so gritty & disgusting. very obvious they hadnt been vacuumed/swept in a long time. sheets were clean, air was cool, fridge & microwave worked, & water was hot. overall, we will stay again for future comps but hope the other issues will be resolved by then.

Floors were dirty. Place needs to be brought up to date about 30 years newer and updated. Trash around/or in elevator. Understand it is Mardi Gras and the conditions that come with it on the property, but the inside of the rooms shouldn’t be no expectations.

I was driving through the state and got caught in a storm. This was all I could find. The curtains had blood on them, floors had hair and dirt in the bathroom. The shower was disgusting. The office staff was great, but overall cleanliness was lacking.

Disgusting Room
The guy at the front desk was the only positive thing about this stay. The bed was covered in hair and dirt, there were no towels except for a used hand towel hanging in the shower, the entire place REEKED of mildew, there was blood on the side of the bed, the bedside tables were nasty, the tub wouldn’t drain properly, and the entire place fogged up when the shower was used because of the lack of proper heating and air (there is a wall unit that seemingly did nothing.) This place is pretty disgusting, not at all worth $100 a night. I wouldn’t pay $20 a night for this place, they’d have to pay ME to get me to stay here again. Great staff but I feel sorry they have to work at such a run down place.

I wouldn’t go again
The only positive thing I can say is this place doesn’t have bedbugs and it had hot water for the shower. This hotel is in dire need of a remodel and it’s utterly disgusting. Sticky floors. Floors need ripped up and redone. If you have asthma it will wreck havoc with your breathing. Smells horrid. Staff are very kind and friendly. Housekeeping will not make your bed for the day. You also get clean towels every three days of your stay.

The front office staff were awesome and the bed was very comfortable..the rooms are very outdated with most items having rusted because they are so old. The television was outdated and did not work all the channels had static but I was not too surprised the tv was so old there were no usb connections and it had a SD card slot. Also please be sure to bring your charger with plug included none of the devices had usb ports to charge devices. The room had a stale odor so bring a plug in or some type of air freshener. We stayed one night but unless they do some upgrades we will not return.

The women at the front was very nice and helpful. The room was not curtain half down. Safety lock did not work. Bathroom door falling apart. Ref did not work. Room was not that clean.

The hotel is in a great area of town that is extremely convenient and it's easy to get to everything. It looks ok from the outside and there is ample parking. The rooms themselves are awful, though. The first room we were given was dirty, smelled musty and reeked of mold, after 20 minutes we couldn't take it and asked for another room. The front desk was very nice and accommodating, they had no issues switching our rooms. We ended up on the 4th floor, which does have a nice view. That room was only marginally better, though. The beds and the bathtub were clean, but it was obvious that the floor and tables had barely been wiped. The property was clearly given a paint/flooring facelift over the old dirt. If you need something directly in downtown and you can get a cheap rate, it's an ok stay. Otherwise, go somewhere cleaner!

The service was great! The room had a big mark of humidity in the ceiling and the smell was so strong we had to buy candles and live the door open for ventilation until late hours of the night.

Its an old building and its cheap so can really complain too much.. the air conditioner was leaking all over the floor and under the flooring you can hear it squish from water damage.. it has a moldy smell as soon as you enter the room.. the staff were amazing, just the room itself isn't up to standards.
