I seemed to be the only Westerner in the hotel and the staff very very helpful, kind and humorous. The room was massive and the view of the bay magnificent. The staff were friendly and the facilities were very clean and well-maintained. Breakfast buffet which comes with my package featured a good selection of Japanese dishes, mostly seafood. If you are not keen on the hotel’s dining options, ask the staff to direct you to the Rest House by the beach which serves excellent ramen, which also sells snacks. There is also a shuttle to Miyako if you want more provisions. Lastly, there is a bus stop in front of the hotel. For those heading back to Morioka station, the express bus 106 to Morioka stops at the hotel entrance early in the morning.
